  1. Check out my advert on AutoTrader for a bargain new shape STi. Subaru's have always been a passion of mine, but time for something different. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201708288744220 Most of the details are on the advert, but the car had a quite a lot of stone chips on the bonnet/front bumper from the motorway miles so I had the front of the car professionally resprayed and now looks like new. Car has been serviced from new by a Subaru dealer and also additional oil and oil filter service every 5000 miles. As recommended by the Subaru dealer the car also has a Perrin Air Oil Seperator to better protect the 2.5 engine from oil blow by and air contamination. Car had Motul performance brake fluid done at last service, new PFC brake pads fitted all round and new Brembo front brake discs fitted at the same time. Car also has fitted the full HT Auto's kit which includes front lip spoiler, side skirts and rear spats. Shown on the pictures are my second set of alloys, a set of lightweight forged Subaru STi alloys. The originals are included in the price and the second set can be negotiated if required.   4. Agreed, my GFB fully open is quite loud... you can also turn it off when you get bored and has an adjustable spring so it doesn't cause ECU problems. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  7. So I had a real good look around for this one and the guy who invented CG Lock now has a new company/product and it's called SHOFT. It's more designed for keeping you posture and is super easy to fit. I bought a pack of two to try and for 25 quid I don't think you can go wrong. It's no way as tight as the original CG Lock and does work it's way lose over time, but is a definite half way house and I'm happy with it for the price. Worth a try in my opinion.   8. Hey guys, sorry for delay responding [emoji3] discs were standard (factory fitted) Brembo discs on a 2014 STi. Didn't take any pictures but running you finger over them really didn't fill you with confidence. Normally you get a smooth (ish) disc face, after the BlueNDX pads came off you could feel ridges all way down the disc (front discs). The Z rated PFC's on new Brembo discs are feeling much much better/smoother and now time for some higher temp heat cycles. We'll then see how they perform in similar circumstances.   9. I had a look around for these as well a while back and couldn't find anything. It looked like they had stopped selling them or gone out of business.... but I could be wrong. If you find they are still available I'd certainly be interested in buying one.
  10. So quick update..... I did a full pad and disc swap this weekend, and can say the BlueStuff NDX from EBC destroyed the Brembo disc's. The faces were like hills and valleys, so no wonder I was having problems, they sounded like crap and I just didn't trust them to stop the car anymore. I've put on a new set of Brembo disc's and a full set of PFC Z rated pads, and even now the pedal feel is way better, much smoother. I'll have to give them a few hundred miles to bed in with easy braking, then take them through a full heat cycles. Moral of this thread.... stay away from brake pads which sound too good to be true.
  11. TBA i do it every 5000 miles to be on the safe side for the 2.5 EJ257 and also I like it to be top condition. There are many posts online recommending it, but all above is valid as well, driving style, conditions, upgrades/modifications, BHP and tune. All have a factor in our high temp turbo engines on the break down of the oil over time. My personal opinion is that I'd rather pay for some oil and a filter and keep it top notch than wait until it's black and due according to manufacturer [emoji6] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

  16. Also I noticed your rear and front side windows are similar tint. Did you have your front ones done, or am I tripping? Mine has tint at the back from factory. I would love to do front ones, but have no clue about legal side of things and how the tint vinyl is being applied, from inside or outside. If outside, that is no go for me, as it would be scratched in not time due to dusty conditions at work parking lot. The tint is standard and just the sun light which makes the fronts look tinted [emoji6] Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. Looks awesome. I haven't ordered mine yet, ran out of money, but will order next week for sure. Though mine will be a bit customized with certain bits and pieces from my own imagination ;) I was just wondering, how easy is it to put it on? is there any drilling needed? I heard at least for the front lip there is no drilling needed ;) Also different rims than mine :) looks strange :) Still epic by the way :) I have the standard rims as well, those are some forged lightweight STi alloys I had fully refurbed in a similar gunmetal grey satin finish. I use them mainly for summer and the odd planned track day. Unfortunately I didn't fit the kit but have had the sides and some of the front off and it seemed really easy.   20. 2014 WRX STI latest shape and garage dealer uses 5/30 Shell Helix Ultra and when I do my interim services I use 5/40 Fuchs Titan Race Pro S. Once warranty is over I'll be using 5/40 all the time with black Subaru filter ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  23. I've had trackers fitted to my last few cars and never got a discount with the insurance company, and to be honest didn't really mind whether I had it or not. One of those was KwikFit and I'm not sure on the other. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
