  1. I agree does look better lowered slightly
  2. Wotcha and welcome. my favourite front end of the legacy models It is quite easy to run an aux cable - the standard subaru head unit does not have a jack, the aux extension is part of the loom. What head unit do you have. If it is aftermarket there is a good chance it will have an aux socket which you can run a lead to a 2.5mm female. Talk to breakers about the loom if it is a subaru unit. The rear release could benefit from a bit of lube of the moving parts and possibly teh cable - unless the cable has snapped?
  3. Not seen any pictures but this may help. I had the opposite situation, manual wind in and researched auto wind in based up on ignition cut. There is a loom you could buy from Japan which fits and connects tehh ignition to the mirror controls. I believe you have the other way around and there is no retract button just the loom connected to the ignition. If you could source the right switch unit then check the plug connection to the switch unit you may find a gap or a wire in place but not being used. So connecting up the new unit may have it working..... More likely though is teh plug will have a wire missing which you could fit yourself if yoiu are happy going through diagrams to find where to splice it into
  4. Sounds like the synchros worn. do you have the 5 speed box?
  5. Ok apologies for the delayed reponse, Here are some instructions which may work Try pressing the top right hand corner of the screen for 5 plus seconds, that should kick in the eject process for the dvd and tilt the screen in the process. Also this may be useful Hidden menu: 1. Turn key to on position 2. Press "Agree" 3. Press the "Audio" button 4. Press the volume knob (right side - Audio off) 5. The screen should be blank apart from "Audio off" at the top 6. Tap the left side of the screen, then tap the right. Repeat 6 times The hidden menu should now show up
  6. Wotcha and welcome - All friendly on here, feel free to share photos etc. Do you have any plans for it or keep stock and enjoy the drive?
  7. What head unit do you have - can you post a photo as I may be able to help with that
  8. Wow that is a new one, sounds like a canban issue as the switch is clearly making in manual but not triggering when required
  9. Wotcha and welcome - are you sure there are no leaks / compressor wheel engages?
  10. Wotcha and welcome - look after it and it will do another 100K, those models are solid
  11. Wotcha and welcome, that is not the standard head unit so I wouldnt know if it has what you need or not
  12. Wotcha and welcome - I am also in a joint project, as well as my own, with my lad doing a 92 SVX build
  13. Wotcha and welcome - look for an older petrol fozzy and that should see you right
  14. Wotcha and welcome - not sure the motor has a dedicated harness so I think you will be cutting and splicing
  15. Wotcha and welcome - that looks mean, any plans for it??

  18. Same on passenger door but also needed the central locking motor installation as well
  19. Actually putting somethng back on - door speaker wire upgrade, tidy up the aftermarket central locking installation and repair to the sleeve old (blue and red) vs new new central locking 5 core cable in the sleeve as well loom wrap to ensure sealed 5 core routed nicely, following existing wire path Ready for replacement speakers And sleeve back in place
  20. Dash removal to get access for clutch pedal installation Oh damn - that loom is going right where the clutch pedal needs to be.... best get the rest out then as we will need to reroute that
