  1. Has anyone fitted winter tyres to their brz? I live in Scotland and there has been a few frosty mornings recently. The back of the car has slipped about a bit a couple of times.
  2. I went on the GT86 forum and it seems the holes are meant to be there, although lots of people have been complaining about it to Toyota, Now I know that the holes should be there and the wheel arch and outer-skin are not meant to connected I can forget about it.
  3. Does any one have missing clips on their wheel arches? see attached photos if they have worked. I only noticed after I got the BRX back from the garage, I notified the garage and their response was: "When we replaced your rear taillights, we had no reason to go anywhere near the arches on your BRZ. You may find that the places where you think there are fasteners missing, there will never have been fasteners, as this space is where mudflaps would be attached. All Subaru’s are the same, and you are welcome to inspect any of the cars in our showroom and we can help you to understand this. Subaru do not supply an part which could be put in here either other than what is supplied as a kit when you order mudflaps, so I cannot offer you a solution to your ‘missing’ clips, but I can offer to supply you with a Mudflaps kti at your cost."
  4. Hi, I am not sure how new the dealership is, they were based in Broughty Ferry, near Dundee for quite a few years and have just moved to Burrleton, near Perth. The dealer Autoecosse made me pay the MOT and told me to claim it back from autoprotect, However, although I registered the car with Subaru (the dealer also refused to do that), and received the letter from Subaru to say the car was registered it does not appear on the autoprotect database. So I called autoprotect and they said contact the dealer, and the dealer said contact autoprotect. When I was leaving the dealer cheekily said, see you for the service soon!!!! I asked the dealer if they would do the once a year valet or tracking check and and they said no. I have now contacted Subaru UK and they said to register a case with them.
  5. Has anyone ever used the Subaru "Everything's taken care of" etc service, My BRZ is coming up to 3 years old and just had it's first MOT, this is supposed to be covered by Subaru but the Subaru dealership claimed it is not, They also claimed they had never heard of the etc package. I called Subaru myself and they said that the MOT is covered, and to get the dealer to call them to claim the cost back, Soon after the dealer called back but said I had to pay in advance then claim it back myself, They also said that they would not undertake any of the services listed on the etc package,
  6. Last week I drove the BRZ from Somerset (where I bought it), over to Surrey then up to Scotland where I live, I averaged 47 MPG for the whole trip. At one point it was 50 MPG (Surrey to Wigan), I think this was mostly achieved by the speed restrictions on the motorways.. I double checked the cars MPG reading by refilling the car and dividing by the distance covered. It was almost the same. I read that in a MPG marathon in 2014 the BRZ acheived 55.42 MPG. http://www.emg-subaru.co.uk/news/mpg-marathon-event-proves-brz-is-fun-and-frugal/
  7. what fuel are you all using in your BRZ? unleaded or premium unleaded
