  1. Cheers I'll have a look at that option as well.
  2. Noise level in this case. I know I won't see anything power wise but I just want to actually here the car when driving rather than me actually having to put my foot down to create any noise.
  3. Hi All. I've got a bugeye wrx with a prodrive backbox. I'm wanting something a little louder than that. Nothing that involves removing cats as I've had a full system but it were way to loud for commuting on the motorway. I've been told that Ninja backboxes aren't an improvement with the cats in place. Is this true? Any other recommendations would be cool. Thanks
  4. The ones I've looked at are 17x7J ET35. Would these fill out the arches? Would you say 8J or 9J would be better at a offset of say 38 or 40?
  5. Hi people. After a little help. Looking to get a set of 17"s for my bug WRX. What offset would be best to fill the arches? Car has standard suspension so it won't rub. Cheers
  6. Dropped you a pm. I do want it. Subaru isn't the same without that sound.
  7. If he doesn't want it then I will. Just let me know. Got the money waiting.
  8. Hi people I've got a 2001 51 Bugeye WRX saloon. I've bought a set of Apex coilovers and the rear springs don't fit the shocker top mounts. The spring itself is far too small to fit the standard top. The description and details of the parts don't say I need aftermarket tops. Is there something missing from the kit itself like an adjustable shocker rubber or do I have to buy a set of aftermarket shocker top mounts? Cheers.
  9. Hi people finally got myself an Impreza WRX bugeye. Got a couple of questions for you all as I'm looking to do a few mods. I'm new to the turbo world so be gentle haha. I'm looking to get a blow off valve. I've seen some universal ones for around £45 and then I've seen some for £150. What's the difference? I have a receipt saying the car has a decat down pipe. How can I check this? Also I'm after some fog light covers. Where can I get these from? cheers
  10. Hi guys and gals. Joined up a while back and thought I'd ask a rather simple question. Looking to get a blobeye impreza WRX. Wanting one that's been slightly modded, so exhausted, dump valve etc nothing ott. Where's best to find one of these gems? Autotrader is obviously not the spot neither seems pistonheads. I was thinking eBay but I'm on the fence worth buying cars from there. I'd rather buy from a member on here of course as I know it will have been looked after or even another subaru forum. Obviously this is my go to place as everyone has been helpful and there's loads of information. Anyway back to the point. Should I have a look on eBay or just keep hoping one will pop up on here within my price range? Cheers
  11. Brilliant just gave that a read. 250bhp would be brilliant and doesn't seem to cost the world.
  12. Brilliant cheers for that. I've seen a few for sale with a front splitter and some without. Is this an extra? I do like that look of it. Would definitely buy one
  13. Cheers. Budget isn't an issue as such. I was thinking that the brakes in a STI would be better than a WRX as it's got more power. More likely to be cheaper than crappy aftermarket ones as well. Same thing with the turbo. Of course I'd have to look into it more. Never owned a turbo petrol before. I would definitely be looking to get more power out of it though. Hopefully up near 260bhp if not more.
  14. Thanks for the welcome and advice. Looks like a 2.0 then. I'm looking at a few cars at the moment and I know the Subaru isn't the fastest but it's going to be the most modern. If I end up with one then I'll definitely trying to get more power. First thing would be is brakes unless they are up to it. One last thing really. Are that parts interchangeable like Nissans? You can put skyline bits on a 200sx with barely only modification. I was thinking maybe that internals of a WRX STI in a WRX or that calipers etc? Might be a better option than buying aftermarket parts.
  15. Hi people. Completely new to the Subaru scene. I'm looking to get myself a 2006 WRX Impreza. Now I've seen that they do a 2.0 and a 2.5 engine with the same output power wise. Which one is the better engine in your opinion? Also I would be looking to do some cheeky upgrades make it a little quicker and look better. What is the must do? Thanks
