  1. It says in the manual you should use it. Why would you go against what the manual says?

    New BRZ

You don't have the oil changed at 1k. Your friend shouldn't worry too much about whether it is run in properly, it will have the balance of the 5 year drive train warranty.

    Smart Watches

I'd been thinking about buying a smart watch for quite some time but the things that put me off were the charging frequency and to get the most of it, you really need to use it most days. I was thinking about getting an Android one but eventually settled for a Pebble Time Steel. What I like about this is that you can go 10 days without charging and also that it is waterproof. It probably isn't as feature rich as Android and the Apple watches, but it does what you need from a smart watch - receive notifications and tell the time. The other stuff is just a bonus.
  4. Hi all. Need to clear my garage so want to shift some exhaust parts at bargain (I think) prices. First up I have a Milltek resonated or non resonated secondary cat back exhaust system (I have both centre pipes so you can take your pick). I'm looking for £400. If you would like to buy one of the centre pipes separately I'm looking for £125, but once I've sold one I will want to sell the other with the exhaust system. Lastly I have a Berk Technology front pipe with high flow cat, I would like £165 for this. All of these parts are nearly new having been used for between 25 - 200 miles. I live in Essex and can deliver if close by or maybe meet you half way (depending on where you are located).

    New BRZ

Glad you are enjoying it. I still have mixed feelings on mine. I don't find it a particularly comfortable drive and would like more power.
  6. My scientific study has shown that my car's computer is 4% off, that is thinking the consumption is 4% better than it really is.
  7. I've heard that, but wanted to check. This is pretty poor if true as I assume it means non Subaru servicing results in an incomplete service record.
  8. Have my first service coming up in November. Having looked at my service book there is a page for pre-delivery checks and annual body work checks, but no pages for an annual service stamp! Does everyone else with a BRZ have nothing in their service book for an annual stamp?
  9. Is that from the car's CPU or actual consumption measured at the pump?
  10. I have listed it on Pistonheads and Gumtree separately for GT86 and BRZ. I'll just have to play the waiting game...
  11. Thought I'd bump this due to the parts still sitting in my garage. I'm also advertising this on Gumtree and Pistonheads. Am I asking an unreasonable amount? I thought 25% off new price was pretty reasonable given the newness and low mileage.
  12. Milltek Secondary Cat Back non resonating exhaust. Cost me £644.85 and I would like £480. Berk front pipe with high flow cat. Cost £274.51 and I would like £205. Note: High flow dog does not come with exhaust system.
  13. Milltek Secondary Cat Back non resonating Exhaust Berk Front pipe with high flow cat. The exhaust cost £644.85 and I'm asking £480. I think Milltek exhausts have a life time warranty but not sure if that is transferable. The front pipe cost £274.51 and I'm asking £205.
  14. I'll get some pictures later. Not sure what price to sell the parts for but I'll have a think when I post the pictures.
  15. Brand new parts (done 200 miles and a week old) for sale. If anyone is interested, let me know. I'm based in Essex.
  16. Hi all, I'm selling the above because it is too loud for my aging ears. The parts have done only 200 miles and I've returned the car to stock. First reasonable offer secures. I'm based in Essex and might be prepared to deliver or meet someone half way, depending on distance. Should have said, this is for BRZ!
  17. OP - my son has a 2011 Punto, is 18 and the insurance was just over £1K. We are with Direct Line and he has a black box. We also have other cars at the same address so we all benefit from a multi car discount. A tip for you (if you don't know this), add named drivers with experience onto your insurance. By adding me to his insurance it came down and adding my wife brought it down further. I used to have a 156 which is a car he always wanted, until we found out a 1.6 2002 model would be around £8K per year to insure.
  18. Not been on here for a while, mainly due to no activity in this folder. Thought I'd see if anyone is still around.... Since last time I was on here I've made a few minor cosmetic changes to the car, replaced the massive rear plate with a normal sized one, removed the "BRZ" and "Subaru" letters from the back of the car and had the rear windscreen (and tiny rear passenger windows) tinted. I'm now looking at getting a remap (not decided 100% which company will do this) and getting an arm rest fitted! Anyone here have a stock BRZ and had it remapped? Interested to see what people's experience is, I'm going to get an air filter thrown in at the same time.
  19. Yes, I think that was it. It was about £199 from Halfords including fitting. About 2 years ago so hopefully cheaper now.
  20. I got a DAB add on for my BMW a few years back. This also had a USB input. Wouldn't this be a better solution?
  21. How thick is this and how does it actually attach to the car? I'm not convinced the pain I get is due to the back of the seat but maybe the base of the seat. In the link you posted I see they also have seat support.
  22. Yeah, I've read this previously on another forum, but it doesn't change the fact that it looks like something is missing. There is a stud you can get from ebay if you are overly bothered.
  23. Tried a brand new BRZ and it makes exactly the same sound. So although I don't like it, need to accept it is the norm.
  24. I've tried a few different lumbar supports but aren't keen on any of them. I think the problem I have is that I'm tall which means I need to lower the seat. Lowering the seat makes the end of the seat near the back of the seat go lower than the front and I think this is the problem rather than the lack of lumbar support. I've been experimenting with the seat position and I think I need to raise it as high as I can rather than as low as possible.
