  1. I am planning on stripping some parts off this project. It has adjustable suspension, a good engine with just over 100k on it that can be heard running, a hyper tune induction kit with full hyper tune exhaust. Many more things too. May sell the whole car at the right price. If your interested please message me for more details. Thanks.
  2. I’d say check to see if there’s fuel coming through. The immobiliser might have the power to the fuel pump shut off. If that’s the case I’d have your alarm checked out.
  3. I’ve just had a new cobra alarm fitted to my facelift classic. It now locks with a key fob! Ha. Money well spent.
  4. It’s had a new radiator and an extra fan put on to aid cooling. While the rad was out I put a cam belt kit on it. I am glad I did as one of the roller bearings was starting to give in and was stripping the belt. Water pump, thermostat and header tank cap all well worn too.
  5. Hi. I say keep it close and chip away at it little by little. I have a Uk 2000 turbo too. It’s a 1999 in the same royal silver 792. I’ve just recently had a cam belt kit and new radiator put in it and an extra fan put in and wired up (non air con model) next year it’s going in for it’s rear arches to be sorted, repainted where needed and under sealed. That’s only because now I can afford to do it. Till now I’ve just worked on it when I can with what I could afford at the time. It’s had a new rear seal, new oil separator plate, new clutch, radiator hoses, I’ve sorted the rust underneath, new wheel bearings and carriers, track rod ends, ball joints, abs exciter rings (very expensive) and brakes. Both front and back bumpers off and new bumper mounts put on, new number plate lights and brackets at the back, new fog light brackets at the front with all new clips where necessary. Genuine stuff isn’t cheap but it’s how I wanted to do it. Some of the part numbers were really hard to find but they still stock them. This Wednesday it’s new alarm and immobiliser day. It’s a labour of love.
  6. I’ve decided the time is right to try and sell her. I’ve no time to appreciate it now I have two young kids and would like to see it go to a good home. 84500 miles, near enough standard and another set of alloys are getting refurbished. It’s just passed it’s MOT with no advisorys. I won’t take any stupidly low offers as I know what it’s worth. If anyone would like to know more please message me and I’ll get back to you ASAP.
  7. Hi, I wouldn’t even like to hazard a guess mate, but you will get a reply in time off someone who knows. 👍
  8. I managed to save mine, they took a few days soaking in WD 40 before they twisted out. I’ve just replaced the top and bottom hoses in mine as mine were perished. New pipes and clamps £60 and it could do with a rad in too. 😫 A labour of love is what they are.
  9. The front tone rings broke on mine when I smashed the bearing off the carrier and the rings were £75 a piece. The rear ones are around £68. To be fair they’d had their day and if one breaks in the future it’s all to strip out again. In my opinion I’d replace them. Both the bolts holding the sensors in snapped too, I had to drill and tap them. I’ll be doing the rear assembly’s this winter which will be another small fortune 😆
  10. Welcome to the club. I haven’t found a manual for a 2000 turbo as yet myself. There are online PDF files you can download and some enthusiasts guides but a lot of what you need can come from forums, video guides and asking the group. Good luck.
  11. She’s finally seen the light of day. Washed and polished ready for a day out.
  12. And that’s how she sits now. Labour of love.
  13. Replaced the front wheel bearings along with new ball joints, trackrod ends, brake backing plates, hub carriers and ABS rings that cost a bomb!
  14. Gearbox out and replaced all the seals and oil plates. It got a new clutch while the box was out too.
  15. Front and back bumpers taken off and new bumper brackets fitted because they were like Swiss cheese, all light brackets replaced and new clips.
  16. No worries, I’ll put on what photos I have. Unfortunately I lost the ones of it looking green a while back. I’ve also done a step by step guide on sorting the dreaded classic scratches on the front windows. I’ll put the photos up later tonight.
  17. It had a scrape down the passenger door and he sprayed it after 6 years and sold it to me. Am working my way slowly through the rust... it’s done 83k and completely standard with original bits sorced from Subaru to replace the rusty ones. Costs a fortune but at least I know it’s being kept original. 👍👍
  18. Mine was 10 miles away and covered in green crud and sap of a tree outside a guys spray booth. It was the tree sap that saved the paintwork. Everything else is getting sorted little by little.
  19. Welcome. They are rare as hens teeth to find an unmolested example, low mileage for reasonable money. 👍
  20. The hubs are back with new wheel bearings pressed in so spent the afternoon putting it all back together with all new parts.
  21. This is getting expensive... 2 new ABS rings needed now as they both split while separating the bearings. 😩😖😩😖😩😖
  22. Pulled the front knuckle assembly out ready for new wheel bearings and hubs, ABS bolts snapped both sides and a blackend finger but their out! So might as well do the ball joints, trackrod ends, drop links and new brake backing plates as well. Fortunes spent but still smiling.

Or there’s that one if it’s the next model up.
