  1. Only need machineing done as all other work and build will b done by myself. So main cost is parts
  2. Power goals are around 650ish but will b around 2-2.5 bar of boost the block I got is ej257 for pennies as liner is damaged hence the re sleeve The darton sleeves I can pick up for decent price. Mine as going for a 97mm bore on sleeve which will give me a 2.35 with the 2.5 crank. And give me loads of meat round piston to cope with boost levels. Move been given a few machine shops who built high power engines so gonna speak to them aswell. I I knw across the pond loads of people sleeve the 2.5 for big power. We seam to b behind them with to what works and stuff
  3. I've got a new engine build in mind but block needs sleeveing as damage on liner. As anybody had a block sleeved on here before or knw a place that can do it. I will b using a ej25 block with darton 97mm bore sleeves with would give me a 2.35 with think cast iron liners so that there b no need to worry bout the open deck style block
  4. There v5 fbs car as knw been converted to v3/4 ecu as more options on esl. I had a v1 wrx and started with esl. Car ran fine but wanted Motorsport features so swithed to alcatek. Car runs and idles even better then it did with esl in.
  5. Just a hobby. I rebuilt a few engine knw. I done my mates after thrust bearings went. I built my other pals block with same spec parts and he running 440bhp on a gt30 ive also got another block to bull for my other pal who just brought his first Subaru. Like you you say my next step is also 2.1 but also looking Into a 2.35 build for myself aswell buy using open deck 2.2 and having filled. Or a ej25 filled block and destroke to 2.35 which seams to b a popular thing over the pond knw.
  6. God knows what I do with my jdm wrx at 505bhp. But I dnt look at mpg. I c low fuel and just fill up. Nopoint owning a performance car if watching the mpg
  7. I had antilag and launch enabled on my alcatek. Used a couple of times on road. Went to pod todo some runs and let of Clucth on first run seamed down on power and bit load. I belew the slip joint on manifold apart on the start line with the anti lag on
  8. Turbo looks pretty good. Will it b on 2.0 or 2.1 8cm hot side might b a bit laggier 7cm would b perfect for 2.0 8cm for 2.1.
  9. That's not a problem would b extremely grateful. I pm you
  10. Have you Still got this would make great for a daily to complement my Impreza
  11. Cheers mate turbos are t3 fitment so made a custom adaptor. I read about them on other forums but mainly in the states and other jdm cars. For the cost it was worth a shot. Little bit laggy but round town cruseing is perfect as if boost. Then if going for it just drop down a gear. Looking in a 2.1 build or if money can stretch then a 2.35 as I build blocks myself. That would bring the power curve right down and should give a bit more top end as turbo still got bit more to go.
  12. Just joined this forum after 6 years of Subaru ownership. I have 1994 wrx import. It started out as a standed car to what it is today Ej20 closed deck Mahle pistons Manley H beam rods Acl bearing Polished and ported type ra heads Uprated oil pump Arp 11mm head studs Cosworth 0.78 headgaskets Cosworth sump baffle plate Gates Kevler cam belt 1000cc Ansu injectors Cdf top feed fuel rails Raceing lines in tank lift pump 044 pump and swirl pot in boot Tommi fuel reg set at 3.5 bar Rotated inlet manifold Mishimoto front mount with custom piping Holset Hy35 9cm turbo on custom rotated adapter Turbo smart 4 port boost solenoid 44mm tial external wastegate routed back into downpipe K&n filter with 4 inch inlet pipe 3inch exhaust system Newage coil pack conversion Perrin 4 bar map sensor 6 speed gearbox conversion Excedy organic Clucth Alcatek ecu running maffless with anti lag and launch control 460bhp on v power @1.8bar 505bhp on 20%meth @ 2.0bar
  13. I had a problem with my car getting cut after mapping. Spoke to mapper and he suggested crank sensor. Changed and all fine. Some sensors can't handle the extra load put on them as you dnt knw how old they are.
  14. Did this build get finished. im also running a holset hy35 but using the holset 9cm houseing from a he351. I've got a built 2.0 cdb with v1-2 ra heads and cams ported and polished. Car made 460bhp on v power @1.8bar and 505bhp with 20% meth @ 2.0bar looking to build a 2.1 or mayb a 2.35 if funds are avaliable. Here is the graph
