The idea is it can increase power with better airflow, but I'd say to get anything noticeable it will always need the supporting mods and a remap. Panel filters i've never noticed any noise change really. Induction when the bonnets up can hear them gulp the air in a which gives it a bit more of a throaty noise.

I was expecting a little better throttle response. But I spoke to td racing and he advised a decat down pipe and a remap for £350 which I'm going to go with I think. Just to get a little bit more power

You would get noise if you removed the airbox resonator... that's what I did paired with a pipercross filter and you can def hear a difference, you can even hear the recirc dumping the air back into the air intake...

Thats a surprise as I have recently fitted one and I noticed straight away that it felt better.

Without any other mod you won`t notice a thing. "Sadly"  the original airbox is really well designed.

I have a HKS induction kit which apart from the nice sound doesn`t do too much on a stock engine.
