So replacement engine in and running. I'm thinking great get my car back :)

Nope garage gives car a once over every to check everything good.

After less than a year of owning it ( bought from jct cars near Rotherham)

Breakers would be your best bet, the u Shaped frame is notorious for going it then traps the moisture between it and the subframe, another member has had exactly the same problem.

I had the same in my blob with the bit under the rad and the c frame went to a scrapyard, cut one off another blob and welded it in, painted and waxoyled and all was well, just unbolted and bolted another c frame on, and replaced the whole front crossmember also with one off eBay, complete with steering rack, hardest but was the welding the bit under rad in
