Andy Carr does mapping at teg sport, Manchester way i think, there Andy Forrest up in Scotland if you fancy a drive,

Duncan graham travels and there's Scooby clinic in chesterfield again if you fancy a drive

And if anyone's quoting you a 'stage 1' map I'd steer clear as all of the above will offer a bespoke map suited to the car and what you are after from it,

All I'll say before this thread develops into a 'my mapper's better than yours' flame war etc is do your research read up about the various mappers, try and discuss what you want and take it from there as there's pros and cons to any mapper.

Duncan has mapped my car and many others with no ill effects. I see no-one has ever questioned piggy's acvr issue that was present before and after mapping.

I'm sick of seeing him ducking peoples cars up matey, i made the same warnings before piggy went and people came out saying hes fine etc etc yet low and behold comes back and it has issues. There's also a new thread going on about him on SN which is yet again him getting a kicking with fault, engines destroyed by detted out pistons etc etc,

https://www.scoobynet.com/engine-management-and-ecu-remapping-453/1046445-your-thoughts-on-my-map.html

He doesn't have the tech knowledge to cope when something isn't 100% ideal conditions, he doesn't road test after a map which is really bad practice.

Even a broken clock is wright twice a day.

Yeah spoke to duncan said he was not up my way anytime soon.  Yeah spoke to camms and they sound like where I would like to get it mapped launch control bang pop map sounds awesome but there just not getting back to me. Anyone heard of zi motorsport in Wrexham ? Camms said to me no way ya can map a car in one day but as far as I'm aware most mappers map in couple hours but I like the sound of time spent on the car ?

Wotcha and welcome - there are a few more options if you are willing to travel - particularly Warwickshire / Telford way. Given there are a couple of approaches to mapping some can take longer than others - A generic flash will cost less, not take as long and not be bespoke to your motor ( it will cost a lot less but you run the risk of you engine going pop) but a bespoke map with some dyno then road time will take longer - also ideally you should be able to have the car tested for cold start post map - means leaving the car overnight though.

Thought I better clear this one up, the problem all along turned out to be maf scaling, disconnecting the avcs just masked the fuelling issues and made it look like an avcs problem, I presume my car was either mapped for an intake at some point and then put back to standard before I bought it, or because it was fist mapped at 69k (roughly) the maf may have been well past its best, and as I had fitted a brand new maf it had thrown it all out, I'm not going to get into any more mud slinging, suffice to say, my car now has a good make inner wing cold air intake fitted, holds boost correctly, runs like a champ, fuel trims are now where they should be, does not pull timing and has not gone into limp mode since this was fitted, probably a couple of months ago now, so my problem was down to a poor map

Brand new maf, o2 sensor, plugs, throttle body, air filter etc etc etc BEFORE mapping by duncan

car was mapped at 69k by previous owner, generic flash map, I presume a maf  not at its best at that mileage, i had it mapped at about 100k roughly with all the new bits on

Car has been running properly since the intake was fitted
