Alright folks

Recommended Posts

Alright guys . Have a  new motor brought over from Japan. The Subaru Wrx SPEC C

Loving the new motor . Have had for couple month now and still going to keep it.

60k on the clock

Nice tasteful upgrades.

18" Advan racing alloys
Front and rear grooved disks
Zero sports body kit
Varis carbon fibre bonnet.
Bride bucket seat
Hks evc (boost controller)
Cusco adjustable coilovers with electronic  dampening controller
Sti genome dials
Tein strut brace
Cusco oil catch can
Hks induction kit
Carbon fibre rear wing
Blits nurspec exhaust system ( have put decat exhaust on it now also )
Turbo timer
GFB Adjusted Dump valve
Tow hooks

Think that's about it. Want to get it to Andy Forrest to check the upgraded BHP and maybe see what can get it safely upto. Seems to be a great engine and a good purchase as it's not used oil or water etc . Oil is still nice n golden fresh also so seems to be running well .

Any help with upkeep of this motor and where to go for parts n help etc be appreciated

Cheers folks

Andy Forrest wont be able to check the BHP as he doesn't have a dyno, bear in mind they are only estimated figures anyway.

as far as mods go there's a pretty long list and any subaru specialist will be able to get parts for them.

Yea ? No the people here into Motorsport and cars as there used to be probably. All these places are fading away it's a shame.  Anyone know any good places for wrapping bodywork and what about dipping. Anywhere that dips parts and that these days ?  I'd do it myself but with s spec C not easy to find every part easily. Even simple things like replacement gear surround/ stereo surround etc etc

spec c didnt have anything special, it's just a normal bumper with a lip spoiler.

I get away with a 2006 hawkeye model and strip the front end off that.  Wonder if that would fit.   My last impreza I still have 2006 wrx Hawkeye.  Same lights and looking bumper as Spec C.   This a direct replacement then ?

I'm not sure if it's a direct replacement or not.  I've spoke to a few breakers where there saying it doesn't fit. But looks pretty similar to me. Tbh guys I have a 2006 wrx Hawkeye.   Well I own it at the moment until insurance know what there decision is. Anyway that another problem...

Yea . Anyone have a sti Hawkeye front end where u could try and fit it. Obviously if it fits it like to take it off your hands if anyone has spares.

I'd need to physically change it and see I think eh.  Would need to be Hawkeye and close too 2005 as possible

Great. So I just need to find a Hawkeye front end and that'll be much easier than having to whittle down to a Spec C bumper.  Glad there all the same will make life a lot easier for me.
