Today is my birthday, not revealing my age as still trying to come to terms with it...anyhow, been out for lunch with the other half as you do, out in my wrx. Thought well just pop up to the local retail park to grab a few things. As we turn into it, I hear this loud noise coming from the engine/front passenger side. We park, switch off, I go out to look at wheel arch area, nothing there. Start it up again, starts fine, pops the bonnet and it sounds like the noise is coming from timing belt! Sounds like it’s flapping around and hitting off the cover. 3 weeks ago I just had it replaced costing £700 due to a previous owners botched job. It’s now been taken to the garage so awaiting to hear the damage. Great birthday this is turning out to be!!

Thanks guys. I bought a 56 plate Hawkeye prodrive. Needing a few things done on it and already just spent a fair whack but hey ho, it’s good to be back on board 😁
