  1. 2002 Forester Turbo Sport for sale. It is with great regret that an impending appearance at magistrates' court will almost certainly result in a healthy ban, which means I'm selling my beloved Forester – a rare Turbo Sport in metallic green and grey. It's done close on 140k, but has just had a new clutch and aux belt (£1k), recon rear diff fitted (£800), plus major service and new tyres and discs all-round (£600). Previous owner assured me the belts had been done at 90k. Got a few scrapes and scratches, but no dents or dings. Thought I'd put it up here before advertising it more widely. Viewing welcome in Peterborough area. No silly offers. Test drive only with cash in hand.

Sound advice. AP2s look like a good bet at mid price. Will keep my eye out for a pre-Christmas discount. Cheers!

Need at least two tyres for my Forester 2.0 S Turbo. Fitment is 215/60 16 XL. First, is it really best to replace all four at the same time? Second, been recommended Maxxis AP2s, but they're stretching my budget – Blackcircles have a budget tyre that actually gets better ratings than the Maxxis: B, B, 71dB (and most other – even premium – tyres). Are they any good, or should I stear (no pun intended) well clear. And, finally, can anyone make my life easier by telling me they've got four really good part-worns for sale? Many thanks.
  4. Thanks for advice guys. After looking around, looks like Maxxis AP2s are a good bet. Pneus have them for about £60 a pop and local garage can fit them. And I’m gonna get four, which will be fitted after the new diff. Cheers Mark
  5. Many thanks for the advice. Got a diff for a decent price, though it's about 200 miles away so delivery gonna be about as much as the part. And I get what you're saying about tyres. Car's only worth about a grand so not gonna go £100 a corner, but am a believer in 'buy cheap, buy twice'. Replacing them all at the same time makes sense on an AWD when you think about it. These look promising... https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-2-X-215-60-R16-99H-XL-HAIDA-HD668-NEW-TYRES-AMAZING-WET-GRIP-C-2156016-NEW/183336472938?_trkparms=aid%3D111001%26algo%3DREC.SEED%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20160908105057%26meid%3Dd297a129483b4fbf9d9231e9ee1ab6dc%26pid%3D100675%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D15%26sd%3D132845006129%26itm%3D183336472938&_trksid=p2481888.c100675.m4236&_trkparms=pageci%3Acd2f3813-e725-11e8-b769-74dbd180291e|parentrq%3A0c6224161670a99b18a0c546fffb758c|iid%3A1
  6. Following an already expensive MOT, I need a new rear diff for my 2002 Forester 2.0 S Turbo and wondered if anyone could point me in the direction of a good breakers or other source for a used/recon unit? I also need a couple of tyres. Any advice on good budget hoops?

    Thanks. I’ll check them out
  8. Forster 2.0 Turbo Sport: rear diff is on the way out. Anyone got a spare for sale or can you point me in the direction of a good breaker, or where I can get a recon? Cheers!

New to the forum, so hello all. Strong advisories on MOT for tyres on my 2.0 Turbo Sport. Has anyone got any for sale, or could you recommend a middle range tyre that won't break the bank? Ta
  10. Just been added to the group, so thanks for having me! I have an 02 Forester 2.0 Turbo Sport. Just got it back from garage after what turned out to be an expensive MOT! Love it though. Looks like a sensible, practical family car, which it is, but good god can it shift when you want!
