  1. I have a 2.5 Outback Auto 2008. Engine made clatter noise going round a roundabout but went quiet on the straight (so, of course I checked the oil). Next roundabout, same thing - and as I was cruising into a suitable place to stop, engine died. Dangerous 70mph (+) road - so was recovered by RAC. I also have a slightly crashed Forester 2.0 XT auto 54 reg. Is it worth using the engine from XT (new turbo) in the Outback? They are both LPG/petrol and both Auto. What issues/problems will I incur? Do I need to use the "brain" from XT? etc etc etc. Many thanks Keith
  2. Hi All - Just joined (despite owning 6 Subarus for some considerable time!). Among my "Fleet" I have a 55 Reg Forester Auto and had to change the battery. Unfortunately I didn't have my "mini power-pack" handy and now I cannot get rid of the Cruise Control light flashing (and bringing on the EML - which I can cancel but only temporarily). Any ideas, please? I have twice done what some other Forums tell me to do - (NO LUCK).
