  1. I'm enjoying the stealth look but I'm kinda missing having a loud exhaust 😂
  2. Unfortunately my impreza was driven into and written off. So I scraped together a few pennies and with the money the insurance paid out I managed to get a hold of my first turbo Subaru. So this is my 1996 Imported Subaru Legacy GT-B!
  3. Alright, I know it's a controversial thing but has anyone here put any rally lamp pods on their scooby? I reckon it'd be a pretty good mod, obviously not on all the time. I've managed to find a lamp pod itself but I don't know how to wire it up or what lights I need to shove in there haha! Any ideas lads? Here's someone else's car - what do ya think?
  4. It's got a lot of stone chips, there's some bent metal at the top of the hood where it meets the windscreen, there's also a tiny dent in the front but it was really cheap and the colour of my car so it'll do for now :)
  5. I'll keep you posted mate ;D
  6. funny you should say that! I bought an STi 5 spoiler recently because I think it looks the best but I went for a fibreglass one, which upon a arrival was bowed and damaged, it was also shoddy as. So I sent it back and I'm planning on buying one from scoobyworld http://www.scoobyworld.co.uk/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=40_65&products_id=331
  7. haha yeah still gunna do a before and after, my poor original back box is in such a state right now, leaving rust trails and pieces of metal in the road haha! Luckily no holes (touch wood)
  8. So I bought this from a breaker's yard...
  9. Still here lads don't worry! Had a lot of problems with the exhaust system and I'm going to have to go for cutting the flanges off and attaching the exhaust that way!
  10. haha more news! I still have the part that he sawed off the mid section pipe because it was still attached to the back box, I spoke to him and he said I could have the mid section for no extra charge. Now on our industrial estate there's a welding business, makes gates and everything and they said that they could weld the part that he sawed off for free next time I'm down, So I'll be buying them some beers haha! This is all very exciting for an exhaust eh? :')
  11. I'll do you one better, I'll get a before and after video
  12. Well I spoke to soon aha! I forgot that he sawed the end of the pipe off because he couldn't get the back box disconnected. Looks like an adapter is the plan!
  13. Of course ;3 I'll probably take my jack when I go to see him. He's a scooby fan too so he might wanna fit it there and then haha!
  14. haha yeah, I'm talking with the guy I bought it from, he still has the part of the system that goes from the back box to the CAT so I might just get that off him to save chopping it up (:
  15. Okay thanks chaps (:
  16. So I'm a bit confused on how I'm going to fit this back box onto my exhaust system, I have an Impreza Sport 4WD which is just the 2.0litre version with no turbo. So here's the deal, I'm wanting to fit this back box to my Impreza. This is my exhaust system, My original problem was that I thought the flange on the back box was too big but I measured them and they came up as the same size, my problem now is that the flange on the back box is at a slight angle where-as the flange on my system is horizontal. So I need an adapter so I can fit the back box to my exhaust system. Any ideas what kind of adapter I'd need? Also the pipes are different sizes, 2.5" on the back box and 2" on the system so I don't know if I need anything else? Thanks in advanced! Oli
  17. I start a new thread because I'm still pretty confused haha, I'll include some photographs as well thanks for the help though (:
  18. For the sake of saving spamming the forums with a new topic. I bought a back box for my subaru and the pipe on the back box 2.5" and the pipe on my exhaust system 2". I can't bolt the new back box on because the (flange?) is too big, what do I need to make it fit? I've been looking all over the web for flange adapters etc but can't find anything or the sort. I wonder if I'm looking for the right thing?
  19. Thanks mate, my friend has an RB5 and I think there's seal that comes down from the scoop onto the intercooler and I'm hoping that it won't collide with my air filter!
  20. How would one block off the vents?
  21. Hey! I recently bought a 2001 (Classic shape) Subaru Impreza Sport, it's the non turbo version with a flat bonnet. I was wondering if it would be possible to fit the bonnet from a turbo 2000 (with scoop and vents) to it? I know they're the same fitting but would I have to do anything to it? Like blocking off the scoop and vents? Thanks, Oli
