Gargoyle

Hi, admittedly this isn't the most exciting topic, but I can't seem to find this info anywhere else. I have just bought a 2002 legacy, both keys were with the car, but there are no batteries in either remote (integral withe the key). It's a bit strange that both are missing, so I'm not holding up much hope that they will actually work, but I need to try. Please can someone tell me what the correct battery type is? Thanks
