  4. Engine management light on and appears to show HO2 sensor heating element fault. I have read that aftermarket sensors are to be avoided and the DENSO brand is the one to fit. Do any members know the part number and supplier ? 2004 Forester X 84000 mls Cheers Jim
  5. I removed the corroded subframe and my car recently passed the MOT test. I hope this is of help to others. Cheers Jim
  6. Thanks again Mr B , I will talk to my MOT tester for an opinion and will get back to you.
  7. The workshop manual refers to the two metal parts bolted inline to the chassis as a subframe. Mine are corroded but I have read elsewhere that they can be removed and discarded, no need to renew. Is this correct ? 2004 foresterX Cheers Jim
  8. My warning light came on today yet the car drives perfectly well. Are there any common faults to look for until I get a code reader ? I assume the OBD connection is under the dash somewhere. 2004 Forester 2.0x 79000 mls. Cheers Jim
  9. Thanks MrB, at that price I might try and make my own !!! Cheers Jim
  10. Trying to find a rear bumper guard for 2004 forester. The part number appears to be E771SSA000. Cheers Jim
  11. Thanks MrB for the prompt reply. Will the supplier for the sump also do the C frame and does the sump come with a gasket? I assume new frame parts are unavailable. My car is a 2004 2.0X. Cheers Jim
  12. Hi, Where can I buy new subframe parts as mine are badly corroded ? Are the retaining bolts a Subaru part ? Also the sump has a rusty patch which will eventually leak. Where is the best place to buy one ? Cheers Jim
  13. Thanks for the reply MrB, I will search for the connections on my car. Jim
  14. Hi, Will the wiring on my 2004 2.0x have any connections fitted to take leather seats from a turbo model ? The seats came with some wiring and the switches. Cheers Jim
  15. Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have just bought back my Forester from a relative. He changed the wheels to 215/55/17 alloys which are now needing new tyres. So my question is which tyres to buy. Annual mileage 6000 max. Cheers Jim
