Engine management light on and appears to show HO2 sensor heating element fault. I have read that aftermarket sensors are to be avoided and the DENSO brand is the one to fit. Do any members know the part number and supplier ?

The workshop manual refers to the two metal parts bolted inline to the chassis as a subframe. Mine are corroded but I have read elsewhere that they can be removed and discarded, no need to renew. Is this correct ?

My warning light came on today yet the car drives perfectly well. Are there any common faults to look for until I get a code reader ? I assume the OBD connection is under the dash somewhere. 2004 Forester 2.0x 79000 mls.

Thanks MrB for the prompt reply. Will the supplier for the sump also do the C frame and does the sump come with a gasket? I assume new frame parts are unavailable. My car is a 2004 2.0X.

Hi,
Where can I buy new subframe parts as mine are badly corroded ? Are the retaining bolts a Subaru part ? Also the sump has a rusty patch which will eventually leak. Where is the best place to buy one ?

Hi,
Will the wiring on my 2004 2.0x have any connections fitted to take leather seats from a turbo model ? The seats came with some wiring and the switches.

Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have just bought back my Forester from a relative. He changed the wheels to 215/55/17 alloys which are now needing new tyres. So my question is which tyres to buy. Annual mileage 6000 max.
