    Rebuild or replace?

    Legacy B4 03 plate STI Jap Import, 55000 km on clock, first UK owners. Drove it yesterday and started to get a knocking and the car stopped. AA found no oil in the car, don't tell me off as was checked, and said bottom end has gone. Battery is also dead which is very strange. Quote by one garage, approx £5000 as a starting price for a rebuild and £2200 for a replacement. Please help?

    Hi all! After they showed us the engine in the showroom, he seems to have pushed the bonnet back down and we now can't get it open. Any ideas?
