  1. Just to add, car is 2013, done just under 50K.
  2. I have a Forester XT 2L turbo with a FA20 engine. I couple of years ago the big end bearing went and a new "short" block was fitted along with new oil pump, timing chain tensioners, oil cooler, timing chains, oil strainer. Since then there has been this "tapping" noise. It is very sharp and short and only occurs when the throttle is "feathered". Say coming to a stop or slowing up and when the throttle is depressed, that is when it happens. I am sure it is related to oil pressure. The car has travelled 5K since the rebuild. It appears to be getting worse and heavier tapping. It is so short, it is impossible to pinpoint where it is coming from. Has anyone had experience of this, please. I like the car and would like to resolve this rather than get rid. Thanks. Peter
