  1. Hi all! I've just joined, never had a Subaru before but looking at getting an exiga, as need a 7 seat family car and want it to be petrol. The Jap Import stuff is always more interesting than the more mundane "euro box" offerings I find. I've had a Nissan elgrand in the past, it was great on space but lousy build quality so I don't want another. I see the exiga uses the Ej20, so parts for the engine should be easy enough to find hopefully, but what are Subaru dealers like if you need to order something only they can get? Will they help you even though your car is an import? I had bad experiences with Nissan dealers, none of them were interested in ordering dealer only parts for me from Japan. Always had to try and find what I needed 2nd hand from breakers. Whereas a friend of mine who has a Toyota Alphard never has a problem ordering parts from Japan via main dealers, they're always happy to help. Are Subaru dealers similar? Thanks 👍 Ian 😊
  2. Hi all, I hope you don't mind me posting on this thread? I'm looking at getting a new (to us) 7 seater, and came across the exiga online. We've had an elgrand and an alphard in the past. I was just wondering, what are subaru dealers like in helping you get obscure parts for your exiga, should you ever need some? From previous experience, the toyota dealers here in the uk I've used in the past for the Alphard have always been great, and massively helpful in obtaining any parts that I couldn't get in the after market even though the Alphard was an import and never officially sold over here. Whereas the Nissan dealers I tried when I had the Elgrand were the polar opposite. Because the Elgrand wasn't an official UK model, they weren't interested in helping me in the slightest. I work in the motor trade but don't have a lot of experience with subarus. Is the engine in the exiga also fitted to any UK models? Are the brakes similar to any UK spec subarus? I'm thinking in terms of getting service items and consumables, is it fairly easy to do so? Thanks in advance 😊 if you'd rather I create a new thread please just say the word and I'll do so. Ian 😊👍
