  1. Hi ALL, I wonder if anyone can help? I hadn't driven my 2008 Outback 2.0 Diesel for approx 8 months. Took it in for MOT. All good. Was driving down the motorway, put my foot down reasonably (70 mph) to overtake, big cloud of black smoke, engine revved and car accelerated momentarily by itself, so I dropped it into neutral, engine stopped and I coasted into hard shoulder. Garage reckons turbo blew, sucked the oil into the engine, which in turn caused uncontrolled burn resulting in terminal engine failure. I love my Sub, so any advice / help in getting her back up and running would be most welcome.
