  1. thanks for the welcome> today i managed to read the OBD codes and cancel - 0410 and 1410 - both linked to the apparently well known problems with corrosion in the secondary air pump and solenoids. car then drove 60 miles without any warning lights. is there such a thing as a workshop manual or even just a circuit diagram for my forester? also a step by step guide from zero knowledge at all, to sort out the stuck valves into a suitable configuration, isolate the air pump and modify the ECU fault codes would be appreciated. no doubt there is a thread somewhere already covering these issues. thats it for now cheers Dave
  2. Hi everyone, just joined the forum to, hopefully, get some technical help. We have owned our 2005 Forester XT auto for a few years now - all good so far, but starting to accept that I will have to start to learn how to fix it myself. Which is fine - I have a small collection of much older cars which take up lots of my time already. I will post my technical queries elsewhere on the forum all the best Dave
