Hey Josh, I also have a mini (R55). No idea on spacers but not seen anyone mention it. Hatchback is called a GR I believe.

Update: changed the pump on mine and it's transformed the car. Steering was really vague and lumpy. All lumpiness now gone, steering much more direct. Easy enough to change too

Pretty sure mines the pump, you can see it visibly stalling as you turn the wheels. New one going on hopefully today.
