    Thank you for your reply and help. Yes, it is the metal grill shown in your pic. The car is a 2017 model. Does the intercooler need servicing? I cannot find a reference to it in the owners manual.

    At the rear of the engine cover there is a metal grill insert. What is this for and does it need renewing every so often? Cannot find any mention of it in the owners manual!
