  1. There's very little to choose between those options, they're all as good as each other, so yes, buy on price and availability.
  2. I've been using Continental All Season Contact, and Goodyear vector all seasons on my Outback and Levorg for the last few years, also in rural Wales, and they've been faultless, especially in slimy wet conditions. Highly recommended.

  4. I've had my 2017 Levorg 1.6 GT EyeSight for over 5 years now. It's been 100% reliable, is great to drive, and very comfortable. Well worth a look.
  5. ICP are well respected for quality parts among Subaru owners. The difference in price is due to Subaru's mark up and supply chain. It's not a complicated part, just the arm, bushes and balljoint. The quality of these is the same as oem.
  6. ICP have pattern parts, I've just used these on my daughter's 2015 Forester: https://www.importcarparts.co.uk/product/icp-front-bottom-arm-subaru-20202sg010/
  7. You'll need this: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/273869963130?_skw=subaru+camshaft+locking+tool&itmmeta=01JHABXFSFBQ6F7QMGCRK5DTB2&hash=item3fc3ebff7a:g:VFwAAOSwntRcaqiN&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8HoV3kP08IDx%2BKZ9MfhVJKmvdFG%2BRr9Zkjdf%2BBdZtAfxyV%2BRhT84XCf1uM2M%2BHar2zldDT9KVaerR5D1EqQVNF0zp0pDRM9%2BAMsu6Qk5paRFWfliSmZmZfauFoJoM5x4cD0lgwHJm0ZwBWwq5Y%2F2BrxLt4De0eAEtzBMFbWfhqkni5BARAz2bn9UcUgzC6XPuy9rLkLNiKQ%2FsX9GySK1P6VXoZsAc5reA%2BEnAZLhlXLkqwns2c70MshjNq7CwehDZ4GxQF0BenbglS0wzmXwqedF0th1GS%2F1ZQccvf%2BNDNUTKalPql1F1TVP3kFTfV%2F1BA%3D%3D|tkp%3ABFBM9vz1y4pl Camshaft pulleys are metal and won't need changing.
  8. I'm astounded that you decided to revert to an XV on the basis of what was obviously false information on the internet. Didn't you check the spec with Subaru? The 2L Levorg also had EyeSight, high beam assist etc, as did my facelift 2017 1.6 turbo. But 89 bhp? Honestly? Even the non turbo 1.6 XV has 112 hp.
  9. Advertising for what? It's a 150 ps 2 litre, same as XV. I'm on Subaru number 7 ( Forester SF, H6 Outback, Impreza GS, Impreza Prodrive WR Sport, Forester 2.5 turbo, Outback 3.0R, and for the last 6 years the Levorg). I'm also reluctant to get a newer one (Outback) because of the touch screen issue. A real backward step in usability, and a deal breaker for me.
  10. Levorg 1.6 turbo had 170 hp. The run out model had a non turbo 2L with 150 hp. Not sure where you got 89 bhp from.
  11. The vacuum pump on my 1017 Levorg has been noisy since I got the car more than 4years ago with no ill effects. There are a few used ones for sale on eBay, depending on whether yours is diesel, petrol, 1.6, or 2.0.
  12. Firstly, I don't have an Outback currently, but I've had my Levorg for 6 years now with zero issues. It's my seventh Subaru, all of which have been 100% reliable. I am currently thinking of changing to a Gen 5 Outback too, and having driven a Gen 6, I totally agree with your comparison to the Gen 5. It sounds like the perfect car for your needs, the motoring press have never understood these cars, and Subaru don't do extravagant launches with freebies galore for the press, which might have something to do with it. For example, reviews of the Levorg mainly said I'd be better off with a Skoda Octavia, which is a very different sort of car, and so bland I'd have died of boredom by now. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend a 2018+ (facelift) Outback from a main dealer with a full history (very important with any Subaru).
  13. Self levelling rears were standard on Outbacks of that generation, nivomat type ones, very different from the wonderful hydraulic sphere system on the Mercs though. I replaced the knackered ones on my '08 Outback with the non self levelling Peddars offering, since the original KYB ones failed at around 100k miles so not worth fitting second hand ones. https://pedders.co.uk/pedders-rear-suspension-conversion-kit-standard-height-subaru-outback-bp-803055
