  1. Hello everyone Does anybody have a source for an custom anti roll bar ( sway bar) for the SJ model with the diesel engine? Several companies offer for the petrol model but I haven't found a diesel compatible version. Basically wish to have bars that are thick to improve on road handling.. Any reply welcome Mark
  2. Hello When I get my Forester I plan to flush the CVT fluid - I have an OBD tool that can measure the CVT fluid temperature live. I'm aware that Subaru have mixed ideas on fluid changes but I am sure it is worth doing. The vehicle has only done 33,000 miles but it is over 6 years old - it never had a tow bar fitted but I have asked the dealer to fit an OEM tow-hitch with 13 pin electrics.. So it might have only been lightly used. I am going to play on the safe side with the CVT and the DPF - two potential issue areas for the Subaru. My question is what is the CVT model number for the 2.0D and what is the fluid reference number? I have heard dealers aren't keen on selling fluid but I do want the OEM Subaru fluid. I plan to do several flushes.. Thanks in advance for any useful info. Regards Mark
  3. Hello, recently purchased a 2017 Forester diesel CVT. 30,000 miles. Waiting for the dealer to prep it for me - some dings to sort out and a scratch to be removed plus a removable towbar to be fitted. Had a test drive and liked it. It's a 2nd vehicle for me so I'm not too fussy for this one about handling or performance - but in both respects it seemed fine. Wanted it to be able to tow and serve as a back up vehicle. It seems to be very comfortable, very easy to see out and quiet for a diesel - from inside the cabin. Items to be adressed: I would like to get the differential fluids changed and a CVT fluid flush/change. The Infotainment will need to be changed - not having Android auto is not acceptable. It has a back up camera but neither rear nor front parking sensors - an oversight in my opinion as my Audi has both and I use the camera and the sensors a lot. I live in France but planning to use the Forester to visit my parents. Any recommendations for a replacement infotainment system? What consumption should I expect on long runs - say around 70mph? Regards Mark
