    Front right wheel problems. Whine, hot rotors, ABS light

    I have a 2010 Forester. It had a leak in trans pan that I had fixed. The car has a on and off whine . One time this resulted in the rotor getting red hot and ABS light came. on. I pulled over to let it cool. I had the front calipers checked and wheel spun ok. I was told it was a trans problem but it shifts great. It also has a smell of hot fluid in right front area. Could the be the CV axle, as the boot was off housing, dirty brake fluid...trans? I am retired and in Philippines for the winter and the Subaru is not common here and I feel I am not getting correct info.
