    6 Speed manual EE20Z forester2009- GEARBOX / CENTRE DIFF ADVICE?

    2009 Forester diesel 6sp manual. With reference to replacing the centre diff, have I been mis-informed by being told that to remove and replace the diff, it is a matter of removing heat shields, rear prop and a ring of 14mm bolts and the diff comes out. I have also read that the gearbox has to come out - which is right please.
