  1. Vehicle has done 97000 miles All warning lights came on, garage #1 couldn't read the computer despite being able to in the past, garage #2 did a service but couldn't do dpf regen as couldn't communicate to that module and concluded the car had a faulty tcm module, advised to take it to a subaru garage. Took it to Subaru garage who informed me that their software wouldn't be able to connect to the car as the car was now too old! Via via got directed to garage # 3 who COULD read the vehicles computer, then did a forced regen but lights were still flashing, told me to drive it home on the motorway, 5th gear, high revvs etc and that the lights would go out one by one once the regen was complete. They didn't. He also told me the problem would remain as the dpf was finished and needed to be replaced or removed. Garage # 4 also advised removal and has given me contact for a professional that can do a delete. Garage #5 plugged in and told me that the lights would not go off after a regen if other filters, oil etc wasnt cleaned after doing it. He reckons there could be a fault with the sensors... now booked in to do a regen with him. The car is driving fine. I have driven it several times on the motorway to try get it to do a regen and burn off the soot. It's running on good fuel since the problem started and its had 2 bottles of dpf cleaner. I read online that dpfs can be completely removed and thoroughly cleaned like new, is it worth it? I see new ones online for approx £300. Is a delete the way to go? Should I get my own diagnostic machine? What's going on here? Any advice most welcome
