  1. Hello Sue - I have had the same issue with my XV. I borrowed my mates launch diagnostics kit and found no issues with the DPF. It just turned out to be the oil dilution warning, which can be reset very easily. Hopefully it’s the same for you.
  2. Hello all - I’ve been on a bit of a wild goose chase with a noise I have on my XV. It can only be described as a sound similar to a ‘gazoo’, which changes tone with the revs and seems to periodically cause the car to smoke excessively. I thought I’d finally found the culprit in the vacuum solenoid, but turns out the noise is travelling along a thin vacuum pipe (clipped to the inlet manifold) to the vacuum pump - I proved this be blowing into it and the sound resonated from the pump all the way through the pipe. So, my question is are these pumps serviceable, as I notice there are 3 bolts keeping it together. If so, where can I purchase such a kit? Other options would be to buy second hand or new. Any help will be very much appreciated.
