  1. When I bought my used 2019 XV last year from a Subaru dealer it came with a years free Roadside Recovery and protection insurance. Quote for another year is £700 to cover £10,000 mechanical and electical parts and Roadside Assistance through Call Assist. Car has now done 49700 and I've had no problems at all. Always had Roadside Breakdown and Recovery cover and £700 seems expensive if I decide I want the Mechanical & Electrical cover. Welcome member thoughts thanks.
  2. I've had many failed attempts to update maps in my 2019 XV 2.0 Premium and more recently, lost connectivity to the Android Auto App on the car media screen. I saw a post relating to the AA2 auto Wifi Adapter device and invested £49 with Amazon for the AA2 - though not too confident of success considering my very low I/T abilities. The instructions which came with the pack were unhelpful, however, the QR code link to my Samsung S23U was brilliant and in minutes I had the device working. Now I have Google Maps on my media screen, only a small unobtrusive cable from the device to the car USB port and no cables from the phone. I can also input voice instructions for location searches from my steering wheel. Early days yet but working perfectly - highly recommend to others who might have similar problem with the Subaru Android Auto App.
  3. New member with newly acquired 2019 XV and I am getting quite frustrated with Radio ON/OFF settings I don't particularly want radio to be active so I press the ON/OFF round control button to turn radio off but it seems to still keep on and so far only way I have discovered is to switch off engine and open door and I'm sure there is a simpler way. Also at present, when I do get the radio off and press maps, the radio comes back on again. Would very much appreciate advice on this. Tks.
