  1. Do Hawk STI springs fit Bug and Blob models?
  2. Yeah that's the train of thought I'm going with. There's a 2004 WRX based in Birmingham that has the sti spoiler already on it priced at only a few hundred quid extra so may try and view that.
  3. Hi is this car still for sale and where are you based? Thanks!
  4. Guys, the bloke went mental and sold it to someone else! What a ******! Hahaha However, plan to view this on Wednesday: http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201409147387653 Any thoughts???
  5. Hey guys, the chap had to cancel the viewing as his bathroom exploded or something and he had to fix it lol I've rearranged a viewing for Monday morning.
  6. Thanks Gambit! It's actually an old school friends business and he had it come in PX a few weeks ago. Obviously when it comes to business and money and friends it's a war zone. He offered it to me for 3250 before he had it motd and put new tyres on it so I'm expecting to pay at least 3500 but I don't think that's a bad price.
  7. Hey guys, Viewing this later on today, anything that jumps out as a "Don't buy!"? Anything to ask or to look for? http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=321546477646&globalID=EBAY-GB&alt=web If i do purchase it I plan to remove the spoiler and replace with a genuine STI wing, remove the window tints, and remove that shark fin assembly shoved onto the roof, so will try and haggle down the cost of the car. Thanks in advance!
  8. Is it possible it's now too late to raise a case? Doubt it mind. I do it via My Ebay on the laptop. Click on the won item and go to solve a problem. I recently bought 2 pairs of active 3d glasses and neither worked. Raised a case, the bloke didn't respond so eBay gave me a full refund and let me keep the glasses which was daft. Sent them back to him obviously.
  9. Hey guys, I'm viewing a 2003 Blobeye Impreza next week and the chaps saying it's a WRX. Apart from driving it, how can one tell it's a WRX compared to an NA Sport model? I'm assuming the intercooler strapped to the top will be a hint but is there anything else? It has a black aftermarket spoiler strapped to the back, and a set of hawk eye wheels. Thanks in advance!
  10. Welcome Daren! You do know you're spelling your name wrong right...? Haha
  11. Hey guys, Full on noob question, but apart from the frontal appearance between the 2005 Blobeye WRX and the 2006 Hawkeye WRX, what other differences are there? (If any) Obviously Pro Drive performance packs up the power, but stock for stock am I correct in thinking both provide 226BHP (Give or take), and both have the same engine, gearbox, suspension parts etc? The reason for my question is that with approx 6K or so to blow on a WRX I'm seeing that the Blobeye appears to be a grand cheaper than the Hawkeye and am considering the Blobeye with a grand left over for bits and bobs. Help appreciated!
  12. Also, I've mainly been looking at eBay classifieds for the last few days. The wife is due with our first baby on 30th October so that's taken president over everything else obviously. I will check Piston heads out in a bit as I've bought and sold a few cars on there over the years. I think I have a decent budget as the car from before was at 5k. Ideally I still want a relatively factory car, perhaps with STI wing as I'd be upgrading that myself and the price of genuine STI parts isn't cheap lol
  13. Jay, my mate had a Mk1 Impreza WRX tuned to 350 bhp (Had, engine blew) and he will be coming with me for help.
  14. Hey guys, A few months ago I joined the forum, asked for a load of advice, and had the cash ready for a tidy 07 Hawk WRX. Well... The deal fell through, the wife nagged and nagged because I had just sold my 350Z and we didn't have a car, so I bought a junker for a grand. 2 months later I have a budget of about 6K plus the grand I should hopefully get for the junker. I say Junker, but to be fair it's a bit of a laugh, it is a (Wait for it...) Saab 9-3 Turbo 205BHP! (Hey at least it has a turbo!) Anyway, I'm back and the need for a WRX is getting to me. A friends uncle took me out in his bright red 2007 Hawkeye recently and the smile on my face was huge! The criteria; Needs to be a Hawkeye, needs to be a saloon, needs to be 'That Blue'. To say I'm excited is an understatement! Apologies for what now appears to be trolling on my last visit, I genuinely wanted one then and am DESPERATE for one now! Wish me luck guys!
  15. Well I will question him on that tomorrow. It's possible the previous owner was the only owner, but if the logbook says 3 then it's 3. Not too fussed either way tbh but will knock another few hundred quid off the price for his lies, haha Got my insurance quote today for the year and it's actually £100 LESS than my 350Z was at £380 fully comp. AXA who I'm with won't insure Imprezas at all so I'm jumping ship to Hastings!
  16. There is a Bug Eye for sale at the same place I'm viewing my 2007 Hawkeye on Tuesday. Personally I like them and they have grown on me over the years. Plus it's advertised at half the price! Good purchase mate!
  17. Thanks Gambit! I will give it a good detail once it's on my drive and slam up a bunch of snaps. Can anyone confirm that car is a WRX? I'm assuming it is the 227BHP 2.5 Turbo. Don't want to be shafted, haha
  18. Oh I know! I think it costs some £120 a year as well. But with that you get a tracker and your own personal person to chat nonsense to or something, haha If anyone knows more about what Smart Nav entails it would be appreciated!
  19. Also, a friend of mine that had one keeps sending me links to highly modified vehicles and to be honest I'd rather just have a nice honest unmolested one that I can make my own stamp on, if that makes sense?
  20. Thanks for the advice Dave! Here is the car in question: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-56-SUBARU-IMPREZA-2-5-WRX-TYPE-UK-MANUAL-SALOON-106K-FSH-PARK-ASSIST-/141197907580?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item20e00d167c If I did buy it I'd want to fit a genuine STI spoiler and also lower the car. Then possibly fit a different set of alloy wheel. Other than those few jobs though I think she looks pretty perfect. I don't really want to buy the first one I see, but having sold the 350Z for 5K I need to find one that's within budget and I've fallen in love with the Hawkeye front end. So if this one does tick the boxes I probably will be buying it. Unless someone comes along and says they wrote the car off last year, haha
  21. Hi everyone! I may be a possible new owner depending on the outcome of a viewing I have planned for Tuesday. The car in question is a silver 2007 2.5 WRX Turbo Hawkeye. FSH and only one previous owner but with the mental mileage of 106,000. Anything to look out for??? I don't see any cambelt history or clutch history so I may attempt to haggle down a fair bit for this. My previous car was a 2004 Nissan 350Z GT but when the wife became pregnant I was told to sell up and buy a 'family car', having always loved Imprezas I thought I might try and trick her with it, haha Anyhow, wish me luck and I hope it's a good 'un!!!
