  1. Hi mate the speed sensor was missing off the classic sti box, sorry I couldn't help you out and return the favour for the info you gave me when I was stuck. All went well with my gearbox and diff replacement. The rear diff turned out the be lsd and luckily I had the matching shafts which were needed. As the passenger rear shaft got the lsd pickup. Drives a million times better with the 4.11 lower ratio as im in the valleys its much less dropping gears to stop engine shudder. Very happy with it for £100 was a bargain. Thabks for info again mate. Anyone else reading this, Info. Classic gearboxes and diff with matching rear shafts will fit a bugeye no prb at all.
  2. Hi mate. Just started it today, got the box and diff off. Il be putting it back together tomorrow I noticed there was 1 sensor missing off the classic box, il check in the morning and get bk to you mate. If you still needed it? And if its there you can have it for posting cost mate.
  3. Thanks mate that's just the info I was after much appreciated. Just to add The bug is a uk version, The diifs and shafts are included, The gearbox and diffs are 30k since rebuild, (bug box on 110k and been whining since ive owned it.) Wasn't going for strength just get it fixed with main priority being as cheap as possible lol. £ 100 vs 300plus also a side bonus of shorter ratio :) my thinking is that may lower stress on box? In my brain it will anyway haha Anyway so if the outer cvs differ what will be different about them? Abs ring location? Could I swap outer cvs? In other words make 1 set of shafs out of the bug and classic shafts? Soz to bombard you with Qs. Thanks mate Darren
  4. Thanks for reply mate, wasn't concerned about strength just want 2nd gear again. Lol
  5. Ive got a 2001 bugeye wrx with a stripped 2nd gear and I need to know what differences there are between a 1994 sti jdm import gearbox with center and rear diff coded Ty752vb3aa and a bugey 2001 wrx gearbox.Ive done loads of searching and found out it will bolt up, and center shaft will fit. I also know it will be a shorter ratio and may need sensors and wire plugs swapping around. Will 2001 bugeye wrx front and rear driveshafts fit the 1994 sti jdm gearbox??? or will I need matching shafts. If I need matching shafts, will they fit the bugeye wrx hubs?. If not can I swap cv joint? Make 1 set of shafts out of 2?I know its a specialist question but i dont want to start the job and be left with my hands on my head lol.Any info at all will help
