  1. I've had good results on stainless exhausts from Longlife. I've used Plymouth branch. They discuss what you want: Part exhaust, cat back etc Also how loud you want it! Even the most silent exhaust will have a sharper tone compared to OEM. I think they give a guarantee for life. Give them a buzz or chech their website.
  2. Thanks for the warning . I'll remove it until modified with switch .
  3. I've just downloaded dashcommand to an android tablet and that works with the same ELM327, even though I thought the elm was wifi only. Perhaps it is wifi and Bluetooth. Conman
  4. Would installing switch mean in line with positive wire leading to obd2 socket?
  5. Hi. I note that I can keep Bluetooth active to use iPhone through pioneer radio without turning off wifi. Some comments said you can't do this.
  6. I'm also looking at another unit: VGATE ICAR DIAGNOSTIC WIFI ELM 327 adaptor by docvauxhall. Anyone used it ? It's got switch and sleep mode
  7. Thanks for the update. Hopefully my copy is the latest, downloaded yesterday. I believe some dongles have an off switch and some have a sleep mode to avoid battery drainage.
  8. Hi. I also downloaded and paid for it. I've not had chance to do more than check it was working! Conman
  9. Hi. I've just installed a gauge to read various engine parameters, such as water temp, torque, air temp, rpm etc. I can also check fault codes, and extinguish engine fault light. I bought through amazon, : Kingmansion ELM327 WIFI wireless OBD11 car auto diagnostic scanner adaptor. Price (delivered) £19.55 of which ££7.99 was for quick postage! Note: the Bluetooth connected ones don't work with iPhones. I downloaded various iphone apps (os 7), And eventually got most to work. I first tried revlite for iPhone. This worked but u have to pay for most engine info. It did let me get device to work though without cost! At first for a couple of hours I thought the ELM327 was faulty!! And wrapped it up to return to amazon! Then unwrapped it and tried again. Later I went for a cuppa and tried again!! Then back to the internet, trawled many forums etc and cracked it! Thank u binary factory and Guillaume Ross. In his words: Connect ELM327 to obd2 socket. (Usually hidden under steering wheel (16 pin connector) On iPhone SETTINGS, Choose to connect to a wifi network. The correct one should be obvious , select it. Follow arrow to go to advanced settings. Set thrip address to ' 'STATIC'' Insert new IP ADDRESS: 192.168.0.123 and SUBJECT MASK TO: 255.255.255.0 Leave other settings as is. EXIT SETTINGS In car, start engine. The IBD-11 port provides power to the ELM327, but you are more likely to get more info from engine with it running. In whatever app you have downloaded, CONFIGURE the connection to use a custom TPC CONNECTION with IP 192.168.0.10 And TCP PORT 35000 Hopefully you will then be able to read engine outputs. Depending on app depends how many items u can see. I think this post has run too long Apologies The Conman
  10. Hi. I bought camera through eBay . Seller info was first-supply (10332) Payment went to [email protected] Total cost £25.34. eBay item no: 261553058450 Description: Car vehicle CCD rear view reversing camera back up spy mini cam 120 degree wide. The camera comes with hole saw drill bit. I extended the +and~ wires (black/red) to front of car and connected both at rear of radio unit. There is a brown connector at radio to connect camera plug. The camera connects as soon as reverse is selected, so u have the little Subaru screen and the pioneer screen. I fitted the camera to upper rear face of bumper so if I overrun the hitch does not smash the camera. The camera swivels up and down so u can align it with the tow ball. Removing the front panel surrounding the pioneer is nerve-wracking! I used a plastic trim tool, which has a half inch flat end. Lever the top left hand corner as u look at dash and lever out. The top edge then releases followed by side catches. You then have to unplug connectors for heater controls etc. (Easy). Then 4screws to release radio. Careful not to let any cables detach behind radio. May need someone to hold radio while you attach cables.
  11. Try brakeparts.co.uk. New but much cheaper than dealer Tel : 01706662986
  12. Thanks. Where in uk is he?
  13. Has anyone fitted tuning box or had a remap on Subaru diesel?
  14. I've recently bought and had fitted a Witter detachable swan neck towbar with 13 pin electics for my caravan. Towbar code: SU39Q bought from PF Jones Ltd. Delivered cost £216.64 incl vat. Subaru dedicated 13 pin wiring loom and fitting of bar and electrics by: White horse motors, Exeter. Cost wiring loom and fitting £317.26 incl vat. With them fitting meant warranty on car is not affected.

  15. Hi. The only downside of using the pioneer screen is that with sunroof open the screen is difficult to see.
  16. Hi. Yes. it's an upgrade. The standard rear ARB is 16mm diameter. The whiteline is 20mm. I bought the adjustable bar which has 3 positions to attach the drop link. This gives 3 different strengths to the bar. I've used the middle hole. The end hole is milder, the inner hole is more rigid. Driving immediately after fitting I felt it leaned a lot less on fast bends. The suspension is still as before, driving normally. Delivered price last week was £254.98 incl Vat and delivery, from Scoobyworld.co.uk Their tel in Loughborough : 01509266400, ask for john. I live near Torquay.
  17. I notice as standard the rear camera only shows on too small screen, not on large pioneer screen. Subaru assure me that's how it must be! I bought an adjustable camera, mounted it behind my Witter towbar inset into the bumper (18mm hole. Camera came with correct hole saw). Then ran cables: power + and - , and the video leads through a new gromited hole in spare wheel well, down interior of passenger side trim up behind front glove compartment, and into rear of pioneer radio. The pioneer comes with reversing guide lines as standard, but can be turned off. I didn't want lines. They confused when backing in to my caravan hitch. My new camera is central to car, not offset like the Subaru camera, so I can see towball and reverse straight on to hitch. The quality of pic on pioneer is better than small Subaru screen. I also now prefer to reverse car using the pioneer camera. Cost if parts about £20.
  18. Forester ARB HI it's conman again: Mistake on last info on forester ARB. The correct size of ARB is 20mm not 22mm Sorry.
  19. Hi. I've just fitted a whiteline Antirollbar to my 2014 forester diesel. Kit BSR49Z comprising: 22mm ARB. 2 mount bushes 2 KRB15 mount support braces 2 Z5160 alloy locks to stop side movement 1 pack of grease. Also bought: KLC182: 2 adjustable HD drop links. Purchased all from Scoobyworld. Any info, speak to john. First class quick delivery. Fitting was straightforward. I used a powered ramp for easier access. Note the Subaru ARB for SJ forester is same part number as earlier diesel SH.
