  1. Hi Jay, Thanks for the interest. I will post the link here, but feel free to post it on a new thread if you want (I feel to new to do that!) Hopefully the article is pretty self explanatory, it is designed to get people thinking about crime and crime prevention. . http://www.mycrimeprevention.co.uk/crime-near-me/car-thefts-near-you
  2. Hi Matt, Thanks for replying. Good advice from the local force. I worked as a crime analyst for 9 years and often just one or two offenders can make a difference to crime in an area. I specialise in highlighting crime trends, to raise awareness, using the skills I built up with the police and official publications that few people read, trying to turn them into reader friendly articles. I also try and find good crime prevention products. The latest article I've researched and just published looked at vehicle crime (thefts of vehicles and thefts of property from vehicles). From your profile I see you are from the Peterborough area, Peterborough experienced a 11% reduction in police recorded vehicle crime in 2013/14, compared to 2012/13, good news. Places like Oldham, Stockport, Brighton and Chesterfield all had big rises. The full article is online, I can post the link if you (or anyone else) is interested. Paul
  3. Hello, I'm not a Subaru owner, but I'm interested in cars and specifically threads relating to them being stolen. I'm not a thief, but I do run a small crime prevention website and I'm interested in new trends and crime patterns. I've just published an article highlighting if vehicle crime has increased or decreased last year (if you're interested Chesterfield had the biggest increase and Northampton the biggest decrease, with a huge range in between) and now I'm back watching out for new trends. Thanks and happy driving. Paul
