    Cheers, I think I'll fit a temp sensor where you said and keep an eye on my temps, then I can see if I need a cooler then as my cooling system won't be ideal as its an engine swap into a small car.

    I wanted to avoid sandwhich plates as I've heard that they leak with Subaru filters. And the stock oil cooler looks to be quite long, not good for my application.

    Hey guys Does anyone know what the two blanking plugs are at the bottom of the oil pump are? (same on all EJ engines I think) I was thinking that if they are a supply and return it could be a way plumbing in an aftermarket oil cooler? Any ideas? thanks Mike
