Initially around 10000 including buying a classic scoob with a good body.

I haven't bought my impreza yet but the plan is to buy a classic turbo and an sti engine and box so the closwd deck block can be forged before it goes in. As far as engine codes, which particular gearbox, what ancillaries to get, I haven't a clue. I'm an impreza newbie.

How difficult is it to swap the impreza turbo 2000 engine and box to the STI setup? I want to forge an STI block and replace the existing unit.

Hello all. I'm Dan and I'm considering an Impreza for my next car. I have a house on the market and once that sells it will free up some cash to build a decent spec car. I've considered a supercharged type r, an Astra GSI and VXR a Focus ST and an Evo. But I keep coming back to the idea of an Impreza. I love the look of the classics and have joined to get as much info as possible on the impreza variants. I want to see a minimum of 400bhp. Watch this space :)
