Hi guys,am looking to buy a k&n air filter for the 2.5xt forester, wheres the cheapest place to find one, ebay ones are around £43,can anyone beat that price, cheers.
  3. mornin guys, managed to track down the subaru breakers that I posted about some time ago, only to find he only deals in imprezas, not much good to a forester owner eh.
  4. As Mr B says the linkage IS for H.I.D. headlights.does anyone have a clue where to source one of these as theres only 2 on ebay and there in Lithuania @ £130 each+post,so my query is,are these headlights adjustable manually under the bonnet.
  5. cheers Mr B,the linkage is only on the drivers side, and the only time I've driven the car at night,I thought then the headlights could do with lifting up,I'll have a look at that on ebay.
  6. hi guys, when I finally got round to doing link rods,I found there was nowt wrong with them, passengers side still knocking, ball joint I think, anyway, when I took the wheel off the drivers side I noticed a kind of linkage coming from a plug which has broken away from a small anchor plate in behind the brake caliper, can any of you guys tell me the name of the linkage so I can order the part, cheers.
  7. mornin guys, been meaning to ask,is there any way to turn down the revs on first start, when I start up in the morning the engine shoots up to over 1500rpm.
  8. So,after my rant about petrol,I woke up to the news that Brussels is going to force our chickens*&t government to bring in a hybrid unleaded which is less efficient than our own, what next, papers please,or you ai'nt goin nowhere.
  9. Cheers stants, could you please give me his email address or garage name and I'll look him up,also meant to tell the forum I've found out theres a local guy started up an exclusively Subaru breakers business,I'll find out more about him and let you know.
  10. Mornin chaps, was flipping thru ebay and came across d.i.y. "performance chips",has anybody tried them,as these things are selling at £100-£200 they are somewhat cheaper than a garage remap but,are they any good or will they do damage.
  11. so,on average vpower seems to be the petrol of choice,I'll try a full tank of that and see what the results are for my car, cheers guys.
  12. Air con not needed up here mate, unless its to blow away the !Removed! midges
  13. Hi guys, over the past week I've been to Fort William (for my sons wedding)then to the leadhills and a wee run on single track country roads, over 350 miles on various road types I've came to the conclusion that B.P. ultimate is the best choice of petrol for my xten regards mpg and performance, shell v power is better than ordinary unleaded, and for supermarket petrol that stuff gets nowhere near my car,so,has anybody else noticed a difference or am I thinking dearer is better.
  14. Hi guys,am going to replace the air filter in my 2.5 xten, was thinking about K&N,then saw Pipercross are doing one also, what's the better of the two,or is there another better one available ?
  15. Hi folks, are any of you using iridium plugs, and if so,are they any good,am thinking of trying them out.so whats the verdict on them.
