Subaru Outback 2.5 2004
Hi, selling my 2004 outback, had it 2.5 yrs now and it's been super reliable, I've always had it regularly serviced, the car has covered 156000 miles and runs and drives superb, auto box with manual option all works as it should, full stainless exhaust, in recent months it's had a full brake overhaul including new discs and pads all round, a new radiator and a rear wheel bearing. Lots of history with the car too. MOT'd until January next year. Asking around £1450, although happy to chat about that. the body work is fine although at some point in it's life someone has repainted the front bumper and not made a great job of it (you have to look hard though). Air con blows lovely and cold (if we ever get a summer to test it), I also have a OE dog guard and boot liner. Any questions fell free to ask, Jeff 07745383362

Alloy Wheel Dilema??
Great stuff, had a quick look and they do seem to have some good and cheap stock, they don't have my wheel type in stock at the moment but I'll certainly keep an eye on the site.

Wanted: Black Leather Seats 04' Outback
Hi looking for a set of black leather seats suitable for my 04' Outback, it currently has the standard fabric ones which I'm not to fond of. Ideally all manual as mine have no power to them.

Alloy Wheel Dilema??
Hi, the wheels on my 2004 Outback need to be refurbed but I'm thinking it may be better to buy a good set of second hand ones, I like to keep things original and ones I have require diamond cutting which is a bit pricey, as usual I would be glad to hear your views, thoughts and opinions. Jeff.

Fuel consumption ...
Done a run to Widness at the weekend, combination of high speeds and 50mph average speed camera stuff, the computer reads 38.2 mpg, which I'm delighted with (are the computers accurate as it seems unlikely).

Doggy Guard for Outback
David, thanks very much, the pictures are very helpful, it looks exactly like the one being sold for the Legacy so I'll take a punt on it I think. Thanks again, Regards, Jeff.

Doggy Guard for Outback
Starting to get really confused now, the above question was prompted by a legacy dog guard being available on the bay, the seller was unsure if it would fit an Outback but thought it would, my research has so far has been inconclusive, the picture on Petch's website looks nothing like the item being sold, equally I can't actually see how any "top" fixings attach as there's nothing there (unless it's hidden behind the headlining??) any thoughts, opinions or otherwise would be gratefully received. Jeff.

04' Outback Clock trip computer thingy not working
A lot, 2 x CV Joints, Timing Belt + Tensioners, brake pads all round as well as work to free off seized callipers, 2 x rear tyres , spark plugs and full service which included quite a few other bits and bobs. The did have my bottom jaw on the floor but it's been a fair bit of graft fro the garage and they have fitted few shiny bits. Jeff.

04' Outback Clock trip computer thingy not working
picked the car up today ...£1150 for the service plus lots of extras, sounds a lot but it had pretty much everything done and runes like a dream now, hopefully the next service will be simply fluids and filters. Jeff.

Still expecting a bill of around £750 + but hopefully the car should be spot on after this, love how the car performs and feels so I'm quite happy to spend a few quid getting it how I want it. Jeff.

yea it's gone to small local garage that are very familiar with Subaru's, they rebuild Suub rally car engines so I think they should know there stuff.

04' Outback Clock trip computer thingy not working
Once again Mart thanks, the bay link will definitely be route I'll take, I'll ring him on Monday. Out of interest how do you remove them? I'm relatively ok with the spanners but never worked on Subs so be grateful for any tips. Jeff.

04' Outback Clock trip computer thingy not working
Thanks Mart, it's the one in the centre of the dash below where the sat nav would go if it was fitted (which it isn't). it's totally dead. I'm aware they appear to be a known failure, there is one currently on the Bay at £90ish which seems a bit steep, I'm not desperately upset it doesn't work but it would be nice to have the car right. Jeff.
