  1. You're right, I would only consider an LPG conversion when it was on a car which was fun to drive and preferably when the car I bought already had it LPG converted.
  2. Why wouldn't you? They are carried out by Subaru dealers officially now.
  3. Sound advice I am beginning to believe. Thanks for that. I think a Spec B with an LPG conversion might be the way to go. Any thoughts?
  4. I'm not sure I want to go as far as removing the cat. Does anyone know what it is like to drive and run a Spec B Legacy with the LPG conversion.? I am thinking that might be an alternative.
  5. Thanks for that, I'm sure there is a way but maybe not as simple as chipping a diesel engine?
  6. Sorry guys but I don't know what n/a means Thanks, yes mine is n/a then!
  7. Sorry guys but I don't know what n/a means, but it does sound as though I'll have to put up with the way it is??
  8. Thanks for that advice. Do you know of any good way to gain useful improvements in acceleration and fuel consumption, or am I on a Mission Impossible?:)
  9. Is it possible to improve acceleration and reduce petrol consumption by sensibly chipping/remapping a 2.0i petrol Legacy? Any help advice very welcome! cheers, Philip Huckin
  10. Hi Ian, I don't have the skills or the facilities to break it, which is why I'm trying to sell it.Sorry about that. You're welcome to the bonnet if you can persuade someone else to buy it from me and break it! cheers, Philip. PS. I had a Spec B for a while, a lovely car! Are you related to Tiff Needell by any chance?:)
  11. Hi, I am selling my 08 diesel estate Re for spares. It has completed 185,000 miles and a few weeks ago it seized its crankshaft. Recently spent over £3K replacing air con condenser, clutch, brakes and pads trim + +. Apart from failed crankshaft, which my dealer tells me is a known problem in 08/09 Diesels, so watch out, the car is in good condition. I have done 75,000 miles in her over the last three years. Offers over £1,500.00.
  12. Blimey, thanks for that I'll have a go, but don't hold your breath!
  13. Sorry but I cannot find the tech bit or the sticky threads you mention...
  14. Hi, the honest answer is no I haven't, but mostly because I'd never heard of it before you mentioned it! Many thanks for that advice I'll look at the thread and have a go!
  15. Hi, My wife has an N reg turbo [175,000 miles] which has developed a habit of not starting after being driven for as little as 10 mins, so warm, not even hot. Battery is fine since it turns over, it just won't re-start until it has stood for at least 20 mins. any ideas?
