Thanks for all the replies. It's Falkenham tyres on it. It does display the traction icon on the dash when the wheel spin but do you still think it could be clutch slip?

Hi guy I've had my impreza wrx sti for a couple of weeks now and I'm not sure if this is a problem or not but when I plant my foot and go from first to second I get wheel spin and the car doesn't seem to pick up so I have to throttle off then hit the accelerator again once the revs drop a bit it's just annoying because it stops me accelerating so quickly anyone had a similar problem and have a solution? It's a 2011 subaru impreza wrx sti saloon and it's standard if that helps? Thanks in advance

Hi guys I've had a 2011 subaru impreza wrx sti saloon for a couple of weeks now and when I put the foot down and change from first to second gear the wheel spin and I have to throttle off, let the revs drop a bit then put my foot down again. The car is standard, should I not be able to go through all the gears at high revs without wheel spin? Does anyone have the same problem or a solution? Thanks in advance
