It's unbelievable how many different opinion there are on this I was thinking of going K&N typhoon or a viper induction kit but now I'm not to shore. A lot of people saying just change the panle one out for a better one Cosworth, ramair and K&N seem to be popular so think I might try that out first. On the other hand I do need a new exhaust and scooby clinic quoted me 1800 but thst would include a full system a remap new fule pump and a new air filter so I might just do panle for now thanks again for your input guy's

Hi thanks guy's ye I'm starting to get the picture now it's like starting a conversation about tire choice lol. I'd like to have more power and sound but il all way's wont power to take first place. Iv seen a few people talk and say that they have Cosworth panle filter in but I'm shocked at the amount of people who dislike K&N I all was thought they were at the top of everyone wish list thanks for the advice guy's much appreciated

So now I'm confused iv all ways been lead to belive that putting an induction kit on your car is a good thing. The more cold air you can get in the better the gains will be. I even remember taking the air filter of my best mate's vauxhall nover and putting some of my mums old tights over end truly believing me and my mate would get more power and more date's with the lady's ( just in case you was wondering doing this had absolutely zero effect on eaither ) but still from what iv read induction kits and air filter are the way to go . However now that I'm older and suposaly wiser I'm looking at doing it propaly on my wrx but it seems to be 50/50 with people saying it's not worth it and brands like K&N use oils on the filter that mess your maf up so now I'm at a loss is there any one that has change the filter for a panel one or a full kit and does it damage anything or have a negative impact. Any advice would be much appreciated as normal guy's thanks for reading

Thanks scoobyghost il give them a check out as I'm in need of discs and pads so they might come on handy. Thanks il keep that in mind Phi thrte will probably be plenty of stupid question to be had lol. shed had belts and pumps dun last month by the last owner and I got her in for a oil change all most right away. She's new disc's and pads and a service. And them il be looking to start iv got a basic idea of what I won't her to look and go like. The trouble is once I start I get the old tunnel vision think untill it's how I won't it. I'm up by the east coast just down from Scarborough were would you recommend getting her seen to that will see her right obviously I don't were everyone live but I think I'm going to need to travel to find a good place

I'm sorry Phil but get ready for some serious brown tongue time lol she is properly smart I had to look twice on the reg to make shore it was 52 same year as mine. But I can't belive the difference in was wondering if it would be worth me doing mine up fully or to maybe go for a new one as mine needs a little tlc but having seen your's on the same year I'm inspired now to just dig in and spend the 12 -24 months and give her the fully attention she needs. A special as you have dun a few things that iv been thinking of doing for one how easy is it to remove the air vents in the bonnet for a bigger sti type. Doe's it pop out or is it a hole new bonnet as I'm thinking of replacing mine and getting a roof scoop to. And the other was taking off the bar's on the roof bar's and smoothing them over. That looks awesome I can't even imagine what all those scooby most of sounded like. Must admit been to a few car showes but never a car meet that's something that I hope to change this year tho

Thanks for all the advice guy's I change tires today form 205/45 zr17 to 225/45 zr17 and ye you can tell the difference not had a big run out but the ride home about 25 mins from the tire place and the last 5 mins down back lans and so far so good so thanks again

Ye I agree total lev1982 only be a member for a week or just over but everyone been at top of there game any questions been answered no matter how stupid it's all way's good to know that you have a good bunch of lads behind you ready to help if needed

So iv owned my first scooby for 8 days now but it's not just the looks / the way it rids or handles or even that flat four burble that they are renowned for. That make them so loved by many but it has to be the community that goes with them as well that make them special to. I had the chance to take her out this weekend and every single person that I came across driving there scooby eaither flashed me or waved I haven't had that since way back when with my fto. And then there this community on here to everyone has been welcoming and any questions iv had has been answered. So to sum up then owning any of scooby is awesome and expensive all tho not as expensive as having a better haf and the scooby dosent answer back to lol

Been time hull and back again today and she rids nice so few little bits and she will be a gem. Out of interest do you know were to find or buy a turbo for her the one looks old so I might be an idea to have one on my watch list

Well that was going to be my next question were the best place to get samco hoses from and how much. Iv seen a lot of pics with people doing this do you judt buy a radiator set and an intercooler set they would be going on a 52 wrx sportwagon

Ye that sounds right then I know it's had a new thermostat by the lass owner. And the needle sits just under haf way on the gauge and never moves. But the fan will flick on for five seconds or so and then flick off and then flick back on five seconds later and so on. But I dint know if this sounds normal for these types of engines thanks for the info pall

Hi everyone new to the subaru group I got a wrx sportwagon on a 52 plate on Monday and iv noticed that the needle in the temperature gauge sits just a little below haf way is this normal also the fan comes on and goes off every few seconds or so. The car seems to run fine and iv bee to hull and back every thing seems fine but with this been my first I don't know if it's normal behaviour.any advice would be great thanks guy's

Hi thanks ye I'm just starting to get to grip with these tires number I think 235 that's a nice wide tire what did it do to the handling. Iv been told it slows down excelration but is better for top speed don't know if there any truth in that tho

No just tries both rims her and mine are 17 but her tires are a little wider

Hi quick question we spent a small fortune about 7 months ago on tires on my other half car witch we are now selling they have not even dun 2000 I reckon Were as mine are new but buget ones her are mitchelin pilot sport's 3 225/45 zr17 and mine are 205 /45 zr17 would this be a simple and straight forward swap any help on this would be grate thank you
