I’m not sure if these issues are connected at all but when starting the car (2008 Impreza 1.5r) both the engine management light & ABS light came on. my long range lever doesn’t seem to be doing anything either, the “LO” light doesn’t illuminate and there is no difference in sound where as when used normally has a bit of a whine, last used it yesterday when getting out of a snowed in driveway. I did a quick code read and got a P0500 code (see image attached) . Could these two issues be connected or just coincidence? The P0500 refers to an abs sensor on the hub? Does “A” indicate a particular wheel or is there a way of checking in the driveway or should I take it to the garage? many thanks in advance.

I’ve got a problem with the calliper to hub mounting bolt for o/s/r brake calliper on my Impreza. its a 2008 1.5r , one of the bolts snapped when trying to fit new discs, due to the covid-19 issues I was only able to source replacement bolts online and Subaru part number: 901120936 was listed as the part required for single pot Impreza/forrester mounting bolt. they have just arrived and are half the size that of the bolts they are supposed to replace. does anyone know what the correct part number For a calliper to hub bolt is? I work for an 3rd sector organisation and we are currently delivering food parcels to vulnerable residents, I want to get this fixed ASAP as I don’t want to let down my colleagues as I’ve a shift tomorrow

I got one for my 2008 impreza custom made at pipe dynamics in Glenrothes, it’s a stainless cat back system and they will build exactly to your requirements both in terms of performance and sound. I was asked to arrive at 8:30am and it was all finished by lunch time and only cost £350. Ive had a few comments whilst in garages as to how well made it is and it works perfectly, just enough noise for a nice gurgle but not boy racer silly.

Hi Ive a 2008 impreza (1.5r on a 08 plate) rear heatshield under the rear silencer is vibrating like crazy, had a wee look and the fixings and washers are still in place but the thin metal heat shield has broken free, it is closest to the N/S and is approximately 2ft x 1ft Options seem to be to either try to get the rusted fixings off and replace with 50mm washers or just remove it completely. what would be the risk of just removing the heatshield?

Hi, some !Removed! kicked off my mirror and I need a replacement. its a 2008 Impreza (1.5 although I'm led to believe any model will fit)

I have a problem with the front left hand window (passenger side in UK) The window will only go down, it will not go up, I tried a different (working) switch and it made no difference. With a bit of a panic as to how I'd close the window to protect from the weather and thieves, I cut the power cable to the window motor (red wire and blue wire) and joined the red to the the blue and the blue to the red and the window closed when I pressed down side of the window switch. What could be wrong
