  1. I'm thinking about buying a Legacy diesel Sports Tourer, 09 reg with 97000 miles on the clock, and a "partial" service history from a franchised Subaru dealer. I've read on this forum and elsewhere that the early diesels had potential problems, like DMFs and DPFs, and wonder if anyone can advise? Would an'09 count as "early", and how can I tell the difference? Is it possible these problems have been solved in an early engine, and again how can I tell unless they have receipts for the work? Are there any other problems with this engine, or the car in general? Sorry for all the questions, but I don't want to buy a money pit! Any other buying advice would be helpful ;) Edit: Forgot to say, it's on sale at £6250.
  2. Hi folks, I'm considering buying a Legacy diesel, and reckoned this would be the best place for advice. I'll do a search first ;)
