Thanks for the advice guys. Yeah it's a 5 speed. I'm happy with the 300 bhp mark anyway. After driving it today, i feel handling mods are the way forward, starting with brakes. It's just had a full service including all fluid, even gearbox and diff. I'll be looking to get a health check and dyno run ASAP!

It's a hypothetical question to be honest. I'm collecting the car tomorrow. I don't like the idea of buying a car and straight away trying to get as much power as possible. I'd rather get used to it as it is then try push for power. It's currently at the 300 mark though. I've read that, injectors, turbo, exhaust and a fmic is all that is needed to push to 450bhp. Is that true?

So imagine that you have just bought a JDM blobeye for relatively cheap. It's pretty much stock except a few STI parts. You find that because you spent less than you was expecting, you have £1k spare to start the mods. What would be the first few things you'd buy?

Hi, I have just put a deposit down on a JDM WRX import. Hopefully collecting it this weekend. I have read alot of the buying tips threads and there is some great info. Doe anyone have any tips on JDM specific checks? Besides the minimal extra insurance, indicator on the wrong side and £200 extra tax, I'm struggling to see any cons of a JDM. Please feel free to point them out. Here is a pic of my last car which i sold for a house but couldn't take driving a gutless 1.0 ltr corsa any more so bought this WRX as a treat to myself. If anyone has any warnings on this car please let me know . I spent alot of time on the 350zUK forum so i look forward to meeting you all and attending meets. Ps I'm located in Essex / Leicester Thanks
MGriff
