1996 Subaru Legacy GT-B
They're a real weapon. Driven a couple of these and they're a very quick car. But they don't stand out much so go under the radar unless you know what to look for. Proper stealth car. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

New brakes now fitted on the car. Really sharp now when you hit the pedal. Not tried them in anger yet though but the stopping power is improved. At Oulton Park on the 26th for track day. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Brake Pad Choice - Help
I used DS2500's on my 172 Clio with Brembo high carbon front discs. They were excellent and never had any issues with noise or fade either fast road use or track days. I'm about to go the same route on my 2014 WRX STi but fitting Brembo drilled speedline front discs to replace the OE ones which are badly pitted on the face. Just waiting for Demon Tweeks to supply and fit. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Track day tyres for STI 2004, any advice ?
Federal 595's are very soft compound and lethal in the wet. I had a set on my 172 Clio and they really weren't good. R888-R's are meant to be good for track use and on the road. They replaced the R1-R's. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Thanks Geoff. It will be a couple of weeks until the brakes are fitted. Takes around 14 days for the brakes to be delivered from Brembo. I had DS2500 pads on the Clio as well. Really good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk Pro

Hi I'm a first time Subaru owner. My car is a 2014 WRX STi that I bought in May this year from Mangoletsi. The car only had 2400 miles on it when I bought it. It's a stunning car and a lot of fun to drive. I've just ordered new front discs and pads for it from Demon Tweeks as the front discs are corroded from standing before I bought it. The brakes are juddering under heavy braking so not good when driving at motorway speed. Going for Brembo Speedline drilled discs and Ferodo DS 2500 pads front and rear. Ive not seen many of the current WRX STi's around but there are a couple around the chester area I've seen occasionally. My previous car was a 172 Ph1 Clio that I had seven and a half years. That was huge fun and a pretty quick car. The WRX is a very different car to the 172. I've done one trackday in the car at Anglesey which was interesting. A lot quicker than the Clio. Im a race and rally marshal with British Rally Marshals Club and was out marshalling last weekend with Wales Rally GB in Chester and Alwen. Im a taxi owner driver working out of the Chester area. I own a new Ford Tourneo Custom 8 seater minibus taxi.
