Newly acquired Subaru.

Hello all, before my newly acquired legacy 2.0 RE 2006, goes to my mechanic next week, a few noises to report.

1. On tick over with the bonnet up, the alternator is making a ticking noise.

2. When parking up on lock, squeaking noise.

3. When pulling out of a junction, a noise like an elephant when changing from 1st to 2nd.

these are intermittent noises?

any ideas?

plus the exhaust is very rusty, I thinking of replacing with a sports exhaust, which is the best. I want it to sound more Subaru but not too loud as it is a legacy not Impreza sti wanna be.
