2001 Forester died with no spark during warmup

Been almost a year when my good running car was started to warm up and was found not running a short time later during cold weather. thought the ignition module must have gone bad since it was the original. No help after 3 new ones. Found there is no spark. Had to be a simple electrical problem. Fuse to ignition intact inside cabin. No code violation. Cam and crank sensors replaced to no avail. Ideas before towed to Subaru garage.
