  1. Hello, my 130k Outback had a forced dpf re-gen about a month ago after the DPF light started flashing. A bit over a month and 500 ish miles later its flashing again. My work commute has changed recently from 50 miles each way Inc. 20+ miles on fast dual carriageway to about 35 min drive on rural b roads, so averaging 40 ish mph and slower through villages. Its rare that it's ever used on very short journeys. FWIW I don't use supermarket fuel as it seemed to always run lumpy when I did previously. Any thoughts on why the DPF would be a recurring issue I'd thought even the shorter commute would be enough for it to get hot enough to do a re-gen if needed. Its got a full Subaru dealer service history up until last year, so it's well looked after. Could it just be an age thing? Thanks
  2. Hi All, thanks for the help, I think my dipped beams are HID with the way they come on and the being whiter. Thought it would be easier to check before I start taking the car to bits and find I've got the wrong bulbs 😄
  3. Hi, sorry for the slight thread hijack, I've also got a 2010 Diesel Outback and the dipped beam is getting pretty dull, do they all have HID bulbs on the dipped beam or is it an option and if so how can I check what I've got? Thanks
  4. Hi All, new to the forum and come seeking your expert help pleas. I’ve got a completely standard 2010 Outback SE, so far so dull. After someone kindly wiped their car down one side it’s back from the body-shop, naming no names but they’ve been pretty shoddy and I’m putting together a list of gripes to take back to my insurer. I think having had the rear bumper off, they’ve lost some trim bits around the wheel arch, sorry for the pics of a muddy car but I think there should maybe be some splash guard, trim or something where the holes now are. Or have they just got the wheel arch lining in the wrong way? If anyone has some pictures of what the rear arch trim should look like, it would be much appreciated. And to make this a bit more exciting, having been looking at a lot of pictures of Outback mud flaps recently, are Rally Armor mud flaps any good as an upgrade or is there something else worth fitting with minimum hassle? Many thanks, James
