Hi all just trying to get some info on how I would know if my drive shafts are going on my 2013 Subaru Forester SJ MKIV would I be hearing knocking/ clunking sounds when turning? Getting so many different mechanic opinions and this is the latest one I have been advised ? thanks all

Hi Mate thanks for the heads up I wont ever use Subaru direct again as the last service they did for me I told them i was hearing knocking from front left side when turning, they checked and told me the front lower arm bushes needed replacing at a cost of over 400 quid due to labour. I got a mechanic friend of mine to change them for half the price and he advised me they did not need replacing as wasn’t that bad, and guess what….. the knocking is still there!!! So now looks like might be the CV Joints and nothing to do with the Bushes. Not a happy chappy but out of warranty now so will use other garages.

I had the front lower control arm bushes replaced as Subaru told me they were worn on its service. Has reduced it but not stopped the knocking sound when turning? It’s not a rattle its a definite knocking/thud, thud, thud sound

Hi All Has anyone been able to convert their Forester digital displays to MPH from KMS? I have a 2013 forester i am bringing back to UK but import company said they can only change the dial and the cost is 199 quid to just change the dial? I have attached my screens Thanks

Wow that’s a lot cheaper than here I will wait till it’s in UK and get it rechecked it’s got to have and IVA and MOT so that will bring it back up if truly bad thanks buddy

Hi Mate Thanks for the info. I am in the process of getting car shipped to UK so prob get it done there as they said it they are showing wear not that they had split. Are they part of MOT in UK? Cant remember been down here that long

HI All I am currently living in Australia and looking at bringing my 2.5L Subaru Forester back home with us. I see that UK do not do the 2.5 version and was wondering if anyone had either done the same and can guide me or can give some insurance companies that will insure for a reasonable price car will have new speedo installed to MPH from KMH and rear fog light added. Thanks all
